So many women have internalized the idea that being difficult makes people think less of them, when in my experience the opposite is almost always true. Every single time I have spoken up, voiced what I actually need and refused to shrink the moment in order to be more comfortable for everyone else in the room, I have been approached afterward by people who wanted to know me better. There is no reward waiting for you on the other side of making yourself smaller. People do not love you more for taking up less space, they simply get used to you taking up less space and adjust their expectations accordingly. Every time I have been exactly as audacious as the moment required, it has opened doors rather than closed them and I have made real connections directly because of it rather than in spite of it.

You should download Duckstation and Yabause and Bizhawk and trawl repositories of playstation 1 and sega saturn games and download english fan translations of games that never made it out of Japan and play them and play them and play them. but be warned......you WILL find a game that you want to dig significantly deeper into and will not be able to find any sort of comprehensive guide in english. but its a small price to pay for discovering a game that like ten other people on the internet have played and going kind of insane about it

If you want a good place to start with Obscure Saturn Titles I highly recommend checking out Baroque- a sort of...post-industrial gothic horror roguelike? I'm doing a very poor job describing it, but if stories about doomed worlds and mad gods and scientists trying to supplant the role of the divine sound at all interesting to you I suggest you grab the english patch for the Saturn version (or the PS1 version, some people have very strong opinions on this. I don't) and keep The Nerve Tower open in another tab as a comprehensive guide for a game that very much wants you to Figure It Out, but Figuring It Out is half of what's so rewarding.
