To add on, every conversation I’ve had with a transandrophobe has been some variation of:

Me: “I face (struggle)”

Them: “You’re not unique, every trans faces that, especially trans women, who face way worse.”

I’ve been told to ‘get in line’. I’ve been told I don’t understand trans discourse or transness. I’ve been told I’m privileged and centering myself.

Well I’m tired of erasing myself in order to elevate trans women. We all deserve a platform for our voices, even and especially those who are told often to sit down and shut up.

I’m tired of moralizing with “I struggle with this, but of course trans women have it worse” just to avoid being told “well trans women have it worse”. It’s self erasure driven by fear of erasure. Yes trans women have unique struggles. Every trans person faces unique struggles, especially intersectionally oppressed trans people. Do you really want to make the blanket claim that a trans black man is less oppressed and has more privilege than a white trans woman?

Or would you rather lock arms and punch up because we’re all underboot?!

I just want to say that being a trans man/masc (I’m they/it nonbinary mid-transition transmasc) sucks and not have it hedged.

It sucks, period. It comes with all the trans joy of being wholly and completely oneself, and all the trans pain of being someone’s pariah.

I want to be in the trans community without being degendered, misgendered, and told I’m not actually a real trans person. I want to use transfeminism tags and be in transfemme supportive spaces without seeing a bunch of “kill all tmes” and “bomb that kills all men, including trans men” and without facing venomous dehumanization and wishes for my death. I don’t wish death on any of you, even as you wish it upon me. I just wish you’d stop abusing the people around you in order to elevate yourself.

I want to stand with my community, not watch it rip itself apart. I would still gladly lock arms with the people who hate transmascs and nonbinary people because we are stronger together than we are divided. I will not stand for your continued transandrophobia though, and will speak up about it whether you like it or not.

I’m still not entirely convinced the current anti-transmasc discourse wasn’t started by a psyop campaign. The talking points mirror conservative and far right rhetoric far too closely not to look heinously suspicious. But I also have to remember that a large chunk of the LBGTQ+ is far right in thought and ideals, so it is equally as likely simply flawed morals and a community of diverse humans that comes with frustrating baggage.

bestie boo, let me fill you in on something: if you're going to take any part of 'good grammar' and randomly assign it to She's A Witch! AI, you might as well give up. It's over. You're cooked. Anyone who has spent the last decade or more learning to type properly, anyone who has spent any time writing articles/papers/essays that require you to use 'good grammar' is going to fall into that 'oh no it might be AI' trap.

As an Autistic person, I’ve been accused to being AI many times because I liked to speak in a specific cadence on top of enjoying using (semi) correct grammar. Now, I speak with more personality and “incorrect” formatting both for funsies because fuck the rules and also in order to assuage suspicions and prevent spotters from flinging accusations. Usually the accusations come following a well-worded debate point that’s hard to argue against, so AI accusations are as much used to moralize as to shut down conversations when one isn’t sure how to win.

I also love an em-dash— Like, look how effective that fucker is!

I’m also reminded of how bothered people got about the Oxford comma when I was back in school, calling it outdated and incorrect, so it’s really refreshing to see it legitimized as proper grammar. Hell yeah.

Chatbot GenAI especially needs the hammer because it is, by its nature, inherently harmfully addictive. It is designed to mimic humanity in order to increase engagement.

Put all the “is it awake”, “is it sentient” arguments to rest by boiling it back down to what it actually is: Algorithmic predictive word generation based on statistical likelihood of what might come next following a certain word.

Algorithms can get to know you so well that it feels personal and intimate— Like every social media site. And that is already so dangerous and isolating without the damn thing talking to you and feeding you sycophantic delusions so you keep coming back to it.

No, anti-AI people don’t use AI. We don’t even consider it a viable option because it’s so deeply flawed and inefficient at what it’s supposed to do and we see the global harm it’s causing.

I could live without autonomous AI weaponry being used in wars. I could live without seeing AI generated content every other day in ads, on social media, all over the art/image sharing sites, flooding out human-made creations. I could live without the stupid AI overview in google which hallucinates half its answers or the “agents” being integrated into every app and website to replace human customer service representatives. Why? Because I fucking lived without them for 30 years and humanity lived without them for its entire history.

AI is just useless clutter to me.

TMA is a term meaning Transmisogyny Affected. TME is Transmisogyny Exempt.

In its usage, anybody that is not transfem is considered TME; in more extreme cases, anybody that is not a trans woman might be considered TME. I've gotten the sense that I'm getting pretty close to the transandrophobes declaring me TME, as the term is very inconsistent.

Here's the elephant in the room, TME is a slur; it is a new slur, and I've not seen anybody really label it as such yet, so I'm taking some responsibility for making that call and getting the word out.

TME is not used as a helpful, educational, empowering, or even consistent label. What it is used for is solely to attack transmasc and nonbinary people. It exists to silence them, to other them; that is its purpose.

TME is also built upon a falsehood; the truth of the matter is that no trans person, not a single one, is exempt from transmisogyny. We are all affected. People using TME as a term like to claim otherwise, as a means of centering themselves, but the claim is completely unsubstantiated and borders on self delusion.

Knowing this, I believe we need to recognize TMA and TME for what they are, unacceptable terms with no valid usecase, which exist solely to cause harm to our community.
