i've been in the shifting community for over 6 years now and have shifted many times. I've made this blog to share little things about my life in my dr and to help motivate people on their respective journeys!

BYF... i'm an adult and only feel comfy following those 18+! if your age isn't listed I most likely won't follow back. my dms are open if you ever want to talk or have questions but warning - I'm not that good at giving shifting advice.

for context: we've only officially been dating for a month though we've apparently been acting like a couple long before. (his family thought we had already been dating until he took Brooke to the Grammy's so-)

when i had to have emergency surgery last year (unscripted btw, & by last year i mean 1983) he halted everything he was doing and immediately came to the hospital so he could be with me when i woke up/my first few days of recovery.

when i visited him on the set of Thriller he'd make funny faces at me between takes to see me smile.

he never fails to greet me when i'm getting out of a car, opening the door for me & holding out his hand for me to take as if I'm a princess. (i made a joke saying something similar and he proceeded to tell me that i am his princess)

i gave him a bouquet of flowers on our second date and the next time i went over to his house they were cutely displayed in a vase on a shelf in his room. (his mother later told me that he had been trying his best to care for & protect them so they'd 'last forever')

he has never gotten annoyed by my touchiness, if anything he supports it & even matches it. (hand holding & hugs >>>, + cheek kisses omg. there's a picture of him with a lipstick mark on his cheek, left by me, that made rounds in the press 🧍‍♀️)

he's always calling me by a pet name or nickname he's made up for me, very rarely does he call me by my legal first name.

i was the first in the Utopia household to get her own phone & phone number simply because of how often me & Mike call each other.

we have matching saddle shoes.

he's my biggest cheerleader and truly believes i can do anything i set my mind on. (like his belief in me has changed my own belief/trust in myself for the better)

we are planning on going on a trip together sometime next year when we both get done with touring. (it will just be the two of us. not sure exactly when or where yet, Disneyworld has been mentioned, but I'm so excited!!)

we technically first met back in 1978 at Studio 54 but it was super super brief. (i was dancing on a table, he helped me down) we truly met & became best friends in July 1982 after latoya invited us over to swim in their pool. (her & megan are good friends)

idk how to explain this or how to better word this but when he talks about his future he considers me apart of it and i'm talking big long-term goals he has. (i feel like it sounds a bit silly to say for some reason) the girls told me that it's b/c he's already planning on marrying me but idk it feels too soon to assume things like that 🧍‍♀️

my newest nickname is bug... aka cuddle bug! im a hugger. if we are friends just know that the likelihood of me randomly clinging to you is very high. (if you're comfy with that ofc, i don't disregard people's boundaries)

my hair is naturally a very specific shade of red-orange... rorange... and i just love it so much!! its really pretty in the sunlight, especially during golden hour. (its a bit of a double edged sword though b/c it makes me stand out like a sore thumb)

language learning is something that comes naturally to me, maybe because I grew up speaking multiple idk. im currently fluent in 7 languages and plan to learn more!

physically im quite strong! my job requires me to have good stamina and be in as best of health as I can be. outside of rehearsals/utopia business, im taking tumbling classes and really enjoy calisthenics & aerobics! (the Jane Fonda workout tape is indeed a staple for me)

im actually really good at styling people's hair! my maw maw owns a hair salon and i grew up in it. (we literally lived above it) as i got older i began helping out with clients. i learned so much from her & everything she taught me really came of use when Utopia first started out. (if I hadn't been forced to move to America i probably would've taken over the business after she retired)

my laugh is LOUD. like you can hear it outside when im inside on the other side of the house loud. (from what others tell me its also contagious) i also laugh at the dumbest things.

i always sign my name with a smiley face.

i literally cannot hide my facial expressions to save my life, im very facially expressive. (people asking dumb questions during interviews are never safe from me, its why im usually placed in the back 💔)

my teeth are crooked, it sorta looks like i have little fangs and i love it so much! i think my smile is very cute.

i have a TON of freckles. maw maw used to tell me when i was little that the stars covered me in kisses before i came to earth and that's why i have them.

i'm a morning person much to everyone else's dismay. "Eebs, you are just always so happy to be here. i love that so much and i'm so grateful that you are so positive... but can we tone the energy down to a 2, it's 5am." -Brenna

thank you all so much for following & interacting w/ my posts omg!!!

sharing little bits of my life has been very fun for me along with being very comforting for when im missing home (even with all the recent chaos) i hope the things i share aid in motivating you on your journey <3

more stories are on the way im just taking a little shifting/tumblr break atm :D

-the sound of music playing out of my record player as im doing my makeup in my bathroom (my bedroom & bathroom are attached)

-the way our house smells... like old varnished wood, vanilla candles, and fresh cut flowers. sometimes our perfumes are in the mix as well especially if you are walking upstairs.

-hearing the girls laughing from the movie room as I run to get my fluffy socks from my bedroom (w/ pumpkin at my heels)

-the sound of the front door opening (don't ask me why)

-running from the backdoor to our dance studio (there are little brick steps up to it too that i tend to trip up :/)

-being able to walk down the hall and flop onto Megan's bed as she's practicing piano

-my joy wall that's filled with pictures of loved ones, art from fans, and random special things that make me happy when I look at them

-the carpet in my bedroom... its a rather ugly maroonish red but its very soft and grounding. i tend to fall asleep on it often by accident.

-pumpkin waking me up at ass o'clock in the morning by jumping on me (she loves being an alarm clock, if you aren't up by 7 she will bodyslam you awake doesnt matter if it's a day off)

-walking down the hallway to the stairs - the carpet runner is just really pretty with the wood & there's something about the lighting & airflow that's comforting idk how to word it better :/

-hearing cherry singing to herself from her bedroom across the hall

-looking out my window and seeing Michael's car driving up the driveway

-walking through the french doors in our kitchen that lead to the backyard in the very early morning with a bowl of cereal before we have to leave for rehearsals or the airport.

-us three dancing in the kitchen together as we cook dinner or get ready to eat food we got delivered

-walking into my bathroom in the middle of the night and feeling the change from carpet to cold tile (oddly specific ik)

we (by we i mean me) thought it'd be funny to play frisbee with the frozen pizza that we nearly burnt down our kitchen with. megan threw it so hard it accidentally hit the side of our dance studio. it left a very noticeable dent and a black skid mark in a spot too high for all three of us to reach.... yes, it's still there. and yes, Brenna (our manager) did chew our asses out about it. (we had just moved into our new house & the dance studio was newly built btw)

pumpkin (our doberman AKA baby of the Utopia household) had the zoomies & ran into my room so fast that she collided with my dresser b/c she couldn't stop. (she was okay!!) everything on top of my dresser was knocked to the floor and one of my perfume bottles broke in the chaos so now a chunk of carpet smells like orange blossoms.

when me & mikey were going on our first date the girls made us pose for pictures when he picked me up. (it felt like we were posing for prom pictures or something) they've been saying that once we get the photos developed they are going to frame one and put it on the mantle in the living room.

quincy [jones] gave me the nickname gingersnap because when we worked together for the first time i was pretty hangry (hungry-angry) & got snippy when i kept being corrected on how he wanted me to sing a verse. :/

after we got nominated for the Grammy's me & the girls got group pinky rings. they have opal stones to represent our fans, Utopia as a whole, and how far we've come since we first started. we plan on getting new ones with each milestone we accomplish! :D

the first time i drove in LA by myself I got so lost i didn't find my way to the studio until 3 hours after I was supposed to be there.

when i visited mike on set for thriller, i ended up hanging out with bill [bray] while he was busy filming and we played a very competitive game of tic-tac-toe. the loser had to get the winner a coffee. it was best out of 3 and i lost all 3 times.

mikey drew me as a disney princess. it's now framed and lives on my nightstand. :D

i befriended an elderly lady, her name is janine, while i was on a walk through our old neighborhood. i complimented her garden and she then invited me to have a glass of lemonade with her. (we chatted about flowers for like 30 min it was great)

i once woke up to muscles the snake slithering over my head, like literally over my face.

His only response to me saying I had absolutely no interest in him and that I am only in love with my boyfriend (his brother) was - "Are you sure?" ... TF DO YOU MEAN ARE YOU SURE?!? then he walked off and didn't reappear until me & the girls were leaving.

Mikey still doesn't know but we are meeting tomorrow afternoon (next shift cause i was only there for the rest of that night) so we can talk about everything. I panicked okay!!! He just looked so concerned and soft and I panicked!!!!

Monopoly was fun once I was able to calm down a bit & everyone stopped bickering about which peice they were playing as (i was the wheelbarrow)

I definitely wasnt hiding my anxiety as well as i thought i was though. Marlon even made a comment on me not being as competitive as usual. I played it off by saying i was tired and Mikey kept checking in on me through the night which just melted my heart.

"baby you can go lay down in my room if you'd like or I can get Bill to drive you home if you'd prefer." (AHHHHHHH)

Cherry and I talked about what happened when we got home though because she could tell something was wrong. Very needed, we didnt fall asleep until like 3am. Then i woke up here.

the girls surprised me with tickets to see Cab Calloway for my brithday and I cried afterwards. (he was my childhood celebrity crush for context)

my group attended the Ghostbusters premiere and I almost fell on my ass in front of dolly parton b/c my dress was too long.

me & marlon have a tradition of pushing the other into the pool when they least expect it. (it started in the summer of 82' and has been an ongoing rivalry ever since) the last time i was at Hayvenhurst he got jackie in on it. they picked me up by the chair i was sitting in and threw me in, chair & all.

meg came home with a doberman puppy. (her name is pumpkin btw she's our baby)

we almost set our kitchen on fire because we forgot to set a timer for our frozen pizza :/ (right after we moved into our new house btw)

cherry referenced an inside joke during an interview we were doing and we had to take a break b/c we were laughing too hard, i've never seen meg break like that. (we were fighting for our lives during that interview anyways, that on top of everything was the fianl straw)

challenged my bodyguard to a wrestling match and lost within 2 minutes (one day i will win)

me, cher, & meg decided to play a game of tag during rehearsals for one of our concerts (we got some of our backup dancers & various staff involved as well) Brenna, our manager, had to sit us down in a makeshift time out b/c we got too rowdy :/

we got nominated for 5 grammys and won 3 at this past Grammy awards! (26th annual)

I could embroider his initials on one of the cuffs too, maybe even write something cute in the collar so he has a little reminder of me when he's away (if he wears it that is) .... is that too much? maybe too soon we havent been official for long🧍‍♀️
