I was rereading a child of divorce and got to the part about Tori’s allergy. Was her food really swapped on accident or did someone (Rosie or Alastor or someone with a grudge) potentially change her food on purpose? I can see younger Tori avoiding eating meat because of cannibalism, and maybe someone noticed her being picky. I can see alastor or Rosie swapping the food to get her to eat it and then reveal the cannibalism to show it’s not a big deal. Idk, I’m probably really off the mark
I just really love ur fic and want to explore all the nooks and crannies!
While Alastor would have preferred that Tori took to eating Sinner Meat as it was more convenient (they were in Cannibal Town, after all), he also wanted her to like it on her own terms. He didn’t want to force her to eat it, oh no. That would only sour the experience and drive her to hate it out of spite no matter how much she actually liked it! (That would be Alastor’s reaction, the brat.) So, her choice mattered. Rosie respected Alastor’s (and Tori’s) decision. The swap was done carelessly by an unnamed cannibal server, most likely because they didn’t think that any mix up would matter as the dish was fundamentally the same.
Obviously, they were wrong.
Tori was fine with eating meat before this incident as long as it wasn’t Sinner Meat. She loved eating sausages, bacon, and meat patties. After this incident, though, she never touched red meat again. She didn’t trust another accidental swap from happening again. Alastor would’ve been irritated by this if he hadn’t had a front row seat to the allergic reaction and the doctor confirming that her survival was only due to her throwing everything back up.

oh look it’s the “REDACTED” squad! (Part of my Second Backup AU, PREV)
also it’s really hard to describe stuff with limited vocabulary.
When is the next chapter going to be updated? Can you give any spoilers?
Even though this ask didn't specify, I recognize this username from my "Child of Divorce" comment section asking the same question (sans the request for spoilers which I will pass on answering), so I'll assume that this is the fic we're talking about.
You might not mean to, but your ask, paired with your comment on AO3, comes off as a bit rude and pushy. I understand and appreciate the excitement that readers have on seeing what's next for this fic, but the way you haven't waited for me to properly reply the first time you asked makes me feel like you're prioritizing getting quick answers and updates over respecting my own pace and time.
But you felt like this question was important enough to ask twice, so I'll answer: I have no idea. I don't have a set schedule when updating my fics. I just write and post the chapter after I'm done. This isn't a research paper or a manuscript I need to turn in on time to get a good grade or a paycheck. This is a hobby. Something that I do for fun.
(VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: This will be the last time I will engage with a question like this. In the future, I will delete any asks and ignore any comments concerning my updating schedule for my own peace of mind. Thank you.)
In the end, their souls were all touched by each other

just thinking and i'm wondering on what would it be like if Alex is Tori and Allie's little brother. would in this universe his name would be different since Allie already has the letter A in her name? wonder what their dynamics be and love to imagine Tori and Allie huddling up discussing on how to take care of their new baby brother, new mission: operation big sisters go! would they want to play dress up with their brother and have tea parties?
also i don't know why but since Alex is said to be like an MP3 i'm just imagining his style of clothing would be like y2k fashion scene and the funny reactions of Vox and Alastor while Tori and Allie are being supportive
In the Twin Fawn AU, Tori and Allie's brother's naming would go two ways depending on who's carrying him: If it's Vox, he'd still be Alexander (cause he's a simp); If it's Alastor, he'd be named "Evander" (for less simpy reasons).
So, the brother would either be another "Al" (Alex) or another "V" (Van).
As for sibling dynamics, the twins would step up on being their little brother's guardians. They'd keep him company, read to him, help him dress up, and talk to him. They'd also worry about him endlessly since he isn't an isekai baby (just to give them a bit more ✨stress✨). To the outsiders POV, they're just very thoughtful and caring older sisters who bring him everywhere with them (A trusty wagon makes this very possible) and plays with him (They try to kickstart teaching him how to manage himself through tea parties - how to eat - and dress up - how to put on clothes. They're working on language through storytime and gossip.)
Alex/Van is a quiet baby and everyone assumes that he's mute until his earphones (wired, not wireless) grows in along with his antlers (which starts when he hits 13-14). In the meantime, he's taught sign language. He still uses it even after Vox makes him a speaker.
Also, yes. Yes. Alex/Van gets to have his y2k fashion phase when he hits his teenage years. Much to Velvette's longsuffering as she's the one making his wardrobe.

I remember that Allie has a social media profile managed by Velvette. Does this mean that Tori and Allie's existence is known to the rest of the sinners in this AU? What's the general reaction to the girls? Sorry for the bad English, I used a translator.
Allie's existence is known to all of the sinners in this AU, but Tori's existence is still on the down-low due to Alastor's preferences. Honestly, if it weren't for Allie's stubbornness, Vox would've kept her away from the public scene until she hit eighteen. Hell is a pretty dangerous place and both Overlords have their enemies.
Your child of divorce au is really cool. I like how a lot of the things Victoire does for Isekai reasons looks reasonable for a non-Isekai six year old child of those disasters.
It is weird that she could just tell that Pentious brought in something bad, especially if she never demonstrates that ability again. But if there was any trace of Vox's magic on that thing, maybe it was just enough that her body realized she was HUNGRY, except she wouldn't have context for it- she'd just know that she felt bad!
She is super avoidant of her dad's friends, but she is a) noted to be shy, b) verbally expresses she wants her dad's attention to herself, c) has a papa who has repeatedly warned her about charming fake friends who just want to use you, and d) has repeatedly seen her dad's friends blow him off weekend after weekend. If they don't want to see her, she doesn't want to see them either. Which is a horrible setup for the world's worst first impression.
Thanks! One nice thing about being born is Hell and being the only Hellborn with Sinner parents (and both male Sinner parents nonetheless!) is that she can set the precedent. Has "bad feelings" that turn out to be valid in the future? Must be a passive skill involving technology knowing her parents. Alternatively, due to her upbringing, Victoire could very well have a fifth sense for these things, especially with how jumpy and cautious she is.
And you're completely on the money about all the "excuses" Victoire uses to shield herself from meeting the other Vees before she was ready.
Victoire actively tries her best to keep her isekai status under wraps. There's only a few things that she has an upper hand in and she's going to make sure she and her Papa (and Dad now too she guesses) comes out of the Season 1 events on top.
Guards! Put the blond man in spandex in situations!
Ahah you thought it was gonna be a silly introduction? Well me and @sam-i-am-27 have been coocking some more loree. (PREV)
DELTARUNE TOMORROW
I can picture that Tori says offhandedly to Allie that Alastor had mentioned possibly getting an old phone (both to have recordings of the girls and also bc Allie uses hers to share memories and being able to do so with her dad makes Allie light up. He even sees Tori eyeing it too and he's a little jealous of this tiny thing Vox can share with their daughters.)
They're both at the Tower, and Vox hears this. It twists in his heart, a bit. Allie sending him little videos and messages throughout his week alone (her entire life) feels like the only thing that gets him through the days. He would never give up any photo, video, recording, ever. He hoards them; stores them in multiple systems so they'll never get lost or taken. And Alastor doesn't have that relief to ease the hole their daughters leave behind.
Vox knows that the fact he's even considering it means it's bothering him a lot more than their daughters realize.
So one day, he digs out one of his own old phones from a drawer. It's fairly basic all things considered. (Velvette makes fun of Vox's more basic choices when it comes to phones, as opposed to her going for the newest, feature laden one.) He cleans it, renews it's parts. Then, during long nights, he designs a case for it that suits Alastor so well, that's so personalized, so obviously filled with attention and love, that Vox panics has to re-do it a couple times to tone it down. He loads all of his pictures and videos of Allie growing up and, more recently, a few Vox had of Tori now.
He doesn't immediately send it out to Alastor, bc when it's sitting on his desk, finished, with packaging beside it ready to wrap...he freezes. They aren't friends. They're enemies, rivals: they're supposed to barely tolerate each other. So this? This is so off brand that it's suspicious and he wouldn't be surprised if Alastor threw it out without opening it.
But he wants to send it. His stomach roils with it. He wraps it and keeps it on the corner of his personal desk, trying to psyche himself up to do so. Finally, he drops off the girls off at Zestial's one day and says he'll mail it out when he gets home. He's not a coward! It's only Alastor!
But it's not there. He kinda freaks out and the lights all over the city flicker (but don't shut down.)
When Alastor picks the girls up...they've got one extra little box tucked in Tori's backpack, ready to be passed over, with Alastor's name on it, and a handwritten little card that Alastor remembers with a pang as Vox's hand, saying: "For when you miss them, too."
This entire scenario captures Vox beautifully. His insecurity, his thoughtfulness, his fear of his offer being rejected (again) was all woven in perfectly, bravo!
The best part is that we all know Vox would KNOW and SAVE the number connected to Alastor’s phone (for emergencies!) and that he’d eventually reach out - concerning their daughters ofc. And we all also know that this would inevitably descend into flirting squabbling over the phone. Once Alastor gets the hang of texting at Allie’s insistence, it’s OVER for Vox. He will never know peace during his workday. (He looks forward to every text.)

"A week with their personal space empty and devoid of their children" is such a heartbreaking line. They do little habits, gestures, and accommodations for their kids, still do some of them even alone now.
Alastor will make Victoire's favorite meal for dinner bc it's a Tuesday which is her day of choice, but she chooses this dinner each and every time. He makes her favorite dessert for the same reason, automatically, but she's not there for it, so he eats it alone, or gives it to Nifty. He listens for her in their rooms, but the music she usually has going while she reads isn't there. Her bedroom is quiet, silent, empty.
Vox digs into his pocket and finds the little carabiner ring full of hairbands and scrunchies that Vox keeps practically on his person bc Allie loses hers sometimes or wants to put her hair up, so she'll find either him or Velvette around the tower instead of going to their suite. It gives her an excuse to visit Vox and Vel. He hadnt realized he'd grabbed it that morning. He has a comb and brush in his office drawer for those days she comes to him and not Vel. He slows down his work at a certain time bc that's usually when Allie would slip into his office "to make sure you're still alive, dad!" But she never comes.
Their life and their motivations really shifted for them. And it isn't until Tori and Allie are gone that they realize just how much that's been. How big of a hole they're left with. And oh, it hurts a bit; enough to count the days on the calendar almost anxiously. Then their daughters come home, and everything is right again.
Until the next week.
Can't really add anything here. This is perfect and the little ways that Alastor and Vox miss their fawns are so small yet meaningful. Gosh you can feel how they love them.
Vox would definitely be the sort to anxiously call/text his daughter whenever it isn't his week. Allie would send him some pictures and updates. Alastor usually turns his nose up at modern technology, but he just might bite the bullet and get a phone (an old one) so he could listen to Victoire's voice to chase away the silence during the weeks without her.
With the last episode of Child of (a) Divorce, I'm worried about Angel Dust, because Valentino will soon connect the dots and discover that Angel knew about Tori beforehand, and Val can take it out on him. I don't think things will improve after Vox gives Val "time out". I know you said we'd see everyone's reactions at the hotel to what happened to Tori, but I'd like to know Angel's thoughts when he started going to the Tower. Sorry for my bad English.
No, no, don't apologize! Your English wasn't bad at all! And it's amazing that you can write in more than one languages, anon! For me, it's either elementary knowledge or the good ol' Google translate.
(Warning: Not quite a spoiler, but the answer below would shed a bit more light about Angel Dust and Valentino that I haven't revealed in the main fic yet. Move on if you don't want to know.)
