Areum Gi

Out of all the times she had been there not once had she seen him walk by. She shook her head, her loose curls bouncing with the turn of her head. She should have guessed that today would be a weird day, something always happened when she had a night mare. She picked up her phone as it buzzed alerting her that she had received and email. She rolled her eyes slightly as she read what her boss had sent her. Always treating her like she was a kid just because she was the youngest in her team, but she produced the best work.

She picked up an ear bud and placed it in one of her ears so she could hear the chit chat from all the people around her. She enjoyed listening to the various of conversations she heard from the people unknowingly talking about somethings so personal not realizing that other people where listening. She stared at the blank monitor in front of her, a horror game huh? She sighed, what did people find scary?

[SMS] I thought it was pretty helpful.

She sent with a smug smile on her face. What kind of hint could she give with out giving her spot away.

[SMS] Sorry, just that one. I am near the cafe, not next to it but it is with in my view.

She looked up at the sky, it was bright out and a little hot, nothing she wasn’t used to. She sat back down on the cold pavement, her computer leaning against her side. She closed her eyes for a moment, how she wished she could cool her self instead of make things hot. She opened her eyes slowly, readjusting to the light.

She stuck her head back out and saw that the amount of people had lessened. She smiled when she spotted him and stuck her head back in leaning it against the wall. Getting a few murmurs and a couple weird looks.

[SMS] You’re getting warm.

She didn't say another word to the man, but she watched him closely. Who came to a club to not mingle? She cleared her throat when her drink came. By then a man had approached her giving her the usual, " Hey baby." She looked up at him and raised an eyebrow " Can I help you?" Her tone was annoyed.

She clenched her drink tighter as he grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her out of her seat, her drink spilling a little. "Yeah baby, you sure can." He said as he licked his lips and pulled her close. Areums eyes narrowed. " Let go of me." She warned him in almost a growl. The man only laughed and gripped her harder. "I warned you." She whispered as she looked at his hand muttering something in an unknown language.

The man let go of her then shoved her into the man she was sitting next to calling her a bitch and a freak. Areum watched as her drink splashed the man, her cup flying past his shoulder and crashing on the floor. She put her hands out to catch her fall, but ended up shoving the man in the process. She looked up at him with a small smile.

[SMS] And I don’t have anything to hide so I don’t give a damn about who reads my messages.

[SMS] You on the other hand… I’m guessing that there are some pretty important things in this phone. Things that you need. Things important for your job. Things that you’d be really sad about losing, right?

Yes, it was true. Yugyeom was a person who liked to have fun with different people and he tended to change his relationship status really fast. However, he didn’t like being put on the spot because of this part of himself. He was known for how fast he could lose his cool and that one was slowly turning to such a case. He really didn’t want to turn to his bad side with that specific girl, though.

Maybe he was too empathetic with this one. A mischievous, wicked smiled creeped its way to his lips.

[SMS] Who said anything about giving up? Just because I’m coming to find you doesn’t mean that I’m going to give your device back. No, honey… You have to earn it back ;)

He halted on his spot when he received the next text. Enigmatic, this one… He couldn’t say no to the challenge. He really couldn’t imagine Areum acting like that. She seemed like a shy person and judging by the content of her phone, she didn’t have a very thrilling everyday life.

She laughed a little at the message but she kept her phone backed up at all times just in case something like this happened or it got broken, she would keep that a secret and let him think he had a hold on her. She thought about how she would reply... Her lips crept into a slow smile.

[SMS] If any of the data is missing in my phone don't think I won't hesitate to do something terrible to ruin your reputation...

She ended that with a cute face. As soon as she sent that one the phone went off again. Earn it back... She racked her brain on what he could possible mean by that it was so vague. She read the message again and saw the winking face, her face showed disgust, hoping he didn't mean what she thought he did. Areum ignored that message and read the new one that came in.

It was unlike her, but having a little fun once wouldn't kill her. She'd probably never met this guy again anyway, he wanted to play so she would.

[SMS] A hint you want?

She thought for a second before she sent the message, staring at the blinking line waiting for her to send the text or add more to it.

[SMS] You could say I was near the cafe.

{SMS} Yeah? Well I at least know to put one on so people don’t go reading through my messages sent to various partners.

She felt a little sense of victory, getting bored and decided to snoop in his phone. Maybe she could find a way into blackmailing him into giving her the phone back. As soon as she was about to demand her phone back she felt it go off more then once. She glanced up to see a boy that looked like the man who had her phone stand up. She laughed to her self at how easy it was to make him surrender.

[SMS] Wow, I didn’t think you’d gave so quickly. Doesn’t seem to fit your picture.

She said as she turned around as a crowd of people came from across the street. She mixed her self in between the vast of people in case he had seen her. Once she got to a far enough distance she hurried to hide in an alley.

[SMS] Come find me.

“I...” She had started to say, “ I am terribly sorry...Oh how silly I feel...” She said in a less aggressive tone then what she had been using before. Her voice was soft and faint, a lot of people had to ask her to speak up or repeat her self when she talked to them face to face. “ You shouldn’t have to apologize for his wrong doing...” She walked to her thermostat to see the temperature inside, as it was now cooling down. After she walked to her bed and threw her self down on it.

“ I wish I could... He would be in a world of hurt.” She let out a soft chuckle. “ But I made a promise a long time ago..” She covered her eyes with one of her arms as she stayed on the line. More curious as to why she was even talking to him still, perhaps to just hear is voice some more, it was relaxing her. “ But besides that I must ask why you stayed on the line, here you are listening to a crazy woman make threats.” She said as she moved her arm from her eyes and looked at the ceiling.

How was this possible?! Her phone was locked, no one could have guessed that... She started at the message only being able to focus on the last part, “ I am sure this device is min. Been so quite some time.” She shook her head. Perhaps she had gotten the number wrong, she double checked it and indeed it was hers. She hit the reply button her eyes narrowed, why couldn’t she just get it back simply. She only cared about the photos and music.

[SMS] It’s yours? I don’t think so. I dont even know how you got it unlocked!

She sent that and then stood up, leaving her coffee unfinished. Not able to control her temper and not wanting to hurt the innocent people who surrounded her. She packed up her lap top and left. Once outside she pulled up the text messages again and replied to the person who had her phone.

[SMS] This isn’t funny, there is many important things on there. I need to know if my boss sent anything to me.
