Work in progress frames from the film. Main focus is on completing all of the backgrounds and the 3D-animation in order to move into compositing. Also our houdini team is improving on the particle systems and simulations.

The entire group is very proud to present: A first look of the environment with Evan, one of our main characters, who’s seemingly very hard to impress. Nonetheless it’s the result of several months of work:) We’re not quite there yet, but we have the feeling that we are heading in the right direction. What do you think? And also the very first GIF! ARGH, the first GIF didn’t work, now it works! Check it out:)

Storyboard panels and character designs by animation lead Jessica Laurent. We are refining the compositions in the animatic and also honing in on the faces of the characters in order to move on to animation tests.

Storyboard frames and design guidelines for the environment by production manager Julia Volbeda. We are pushing the design of the brutalist architecture in order for it to help tell the story.

Look development by CG-artist Ebbe Lønborg. We are trying to figure out how the 3D-cell can be integrated into a 2D environment while also exploring the 3D elements inside the cell.
