This month starts my library’s summer reading program which I signed up for and I picked up my monthly book box today but I just realized… when the heck am I going to read when I have all this volleyball to watch?? 😳

I'm watching the weather and climate stream and right now there is a fascinating presentation about how we can update maps to show not just property where flooding happens but also where people, shelters, etc are located and how flooding/storms will impact them so that we can predict and prepare better. The scientist is also talking about climate refugees. And ableism! It's just so refreshing to see this in a presentation. Sometimes it can be problematic when science is too much about science and not enough about people.

VNL starts this week. I added all the games to my calendar and I’m excited to see the Women’s Brazil and Japan teams again. But I’m also worried that I’ll get overwhelmed and have no time to watch again.

Uugghhh I feel so pathetic.

There was a glacier research presentation on the weather and climate livestream this morning and people in the chat were very excited so it’s not just me! These streams and presentations are getting people excited about stuff like glaciers and Argo floats.
