I had surprisingly fun time playing the AJ trilogy games for the most part, tho maybe they were not as memorable as the og trilogy, but some aspects I really loved. They definitely had some glaring issues, and I think Spirit of Justice was probably my least fav game in the series (probably an unpopular opinion), not only did I find the story kinda messy but the gameplay didn't always work either, at one point I was looking up a guide and yet the game didn't register my imput. Also I'm seriously getting sick of Maya being such a damsel in distress so many times, at this point she feels more like a plot device rather than an actual character and that really disappoints me. I do like Maya fine but the way she has been handled after the first game has kinda dropped my interest in her which is a shame (don't even get me started on the DLC case where she felt so flandersized I got legit angered with her)... It's also disappointing how the later games kinda ignore Trucy when I found her personality the most likable out of all the assistants, but one good thing about SOJ was the 2nd case which is centered around her, and it was actually fun to play through too.

On the other end I found Dual Destinies quite compelling, I did actually like Athena and her gameplay. Plus Blackquill is probably my fav prosecutor right after Edgeworth, I didn't care much about Franziska and Godot in their debut games as their constant whipping and coffee drinking quirks got really old really fast to me, tho tbf the former has gotten some nice moments in the later games so I've grown more tolerant towards her (I have never exactly hated them tho, the only AA character I downright loathe is Oldbag). I did like how Klavier was a nice change of pace for not being a jerkish procecutor, but I feel he wasn't used to his fullest potential, not to mention he also just kinda disappears after AJ:AA. The DLC case for DD was quite good too. There definitely are some major hiccups for this game too but I'd much rather replay it than SOJ.
