So I like pretty much any ultra melodramatic, over-the-top, GAWTHIK af, moody, broody vampire shit. It’s my biggest weakness. Even if it’s kinda terrible (I’m looking at YOU, Coppola Dracula) I eat it up.
Yet I was never able to really get into the Underworld movies? They’ve got some badass moments and cool visuals sometimes, and they check nearly all the boxes under “Things That Make Vampy Salivate.” But my interest in seeing them whenever they come out is like negative 0. I saw ONE. I don’t remember which one. I thought it was a blast at the time but I don’t care if I ever see it again and don’t have much interest in the 30 others that they’ve come out with. I’m trying to figure out what criteria Underworld misses.
