BISEXUALS GROW FROM THE GROUND

I need everyone to pay attention and take this seriously. My Palestinian friend Nader, like many others, has had his tumblr account terminated six times in the span of only a couple of days. This is deliberate behavior by staff and its racist userbase who have spread the lie that Palestinian users are scammers, bots, and thieves "taking advantage" of "real suffering" despite years of verification and documentation from other Palestinian users on here. To say that this behavior is vile is an understatement.

I have been in correspondence with Nader for a couple of years now through WhatsApp and I can confirm that he is a real person in desperate need of support. WhatsApp has been vital to keeping us connected and informed, especially after this most recent wave of deletions. He is sadly, once again, fallen into despair because of staff's treatment of him. I made a promise to continue helping him and I don't want to let him down. He is a good, kind soul who only wants to do right by his loved ones and escape this hellish genocide. He is not asking for luxury.

For more detail, it is imperative to know that Nader is one of eight family members struggling to survive. Like many young Palestinians, he wanted to pursue higher education and the October 2023 attacks stopped this from happening. His father, Ahmed, is in desperate need of treatment for bladder cancer. This struck a cord with me because my mother is a bladder cancer survivor who is only alive today thanks to access to the appropriate medical care. Ahmed and the rest of Nader's family must be transported out of the country if there is any hope of survival.

Many tumblr users, both well-meaning and malicious and everything in between, have become indifferent to the ongoing situation in Gaza. Many feel helpless on how to help and are floundering for solutions. Others have thrown their hands in the air entirely. For some, they've taken it upon themselves to join in the ban waves and report Palestinians personally for the "crime" of tagging them too many times in posts.

I want to continue to be someone who helps even when it's hard and everything seems hopeless. For Palestinians, their continued survival depends on the kindness of strangers. There is no longer an infrastructure in place to help them. This is by design. It is up to us to do the very best we can to ease their suffering with coordinated donations and word of mouth.

I hope that there are still users on this site who want to do the right thing. I believe there are. I have seen it myself firsthand. Help me help Nader get the resources he needs to survive. I don't want to let him down.

This is the new flag, the old one was more vivid and in a z shape, but it's been made more neutral to be inclusive of people with seizures or sensory issues.

Each stripe represents a different aspect of disability:

Red: Physical disabilities

Yellow: Cognitive & intellectual disabilities

White: (And this is the key one I think) Invisible AND undiagnosed disabilities

Blue: Mental illnesses

Green: Sensory disabilities

Anyway I was bitching about how hard it is to come up with feasible planets in Star Wars because sometimes you need a new planet from scratch and sometimes you need to know more about a planet than the 'has jungles, is probably a moon technically' than Wookieepedia will give you, and they're like 'oh yeah I can do something about that'.

So they've written (in Matlab but they swear it will run as a .exe as well and I may be conscripted to embed it as a web tool at some point) a star system generator.

You input what you know about the planet (ecosystem, population, sun colour, does it have liquid water, does it have a moon or moons, is it a moon or moons, temperature averages, atmosphere, you get me) and it will give you the... everything else about the star system, in obedience to real-universe physics. And if you input nothing you get a randomly generated star system.

And I’m like oh I know people who will be into this with a vengeance, and they're not on Tumblr, so this is me seeing who exactly would be keen on, and I cannot stress this enough, a real-physics comprehensive star system generator.
