OH NOW I REMEMBER. NOW I REMEMBER. IT WAS ARC 4 THAT PISSED ME OFF REALLY BAD. The infantilization and vilification of Sun in arc 4 was CRAZY. Rant incoming because I'm actually gonna lose it. TW abuse mention
"You don't kill people you can't kill!" Lunar you're best friends with a self-proclaimed biological terrorist. Monty kills people. Moon kills people. You literally told Bloodmoon to go kill people to satiate their bloodlust, and you helped them get a body so they can kill Eclipse for you. What the fuck are you yapping about? Why is it suddenly "killing bad" when Sun wants to kill his abuser? Because yeah, obviously Eclipse abused Lunar, but he was arguably an abuser towards Sun and Moon just as much, albeit in different ways.
"Moon killed people and that gave him trauma" Okay...? Sun had to clean up the corpses, at least if I'm reading into a lot of Moon's past comments correctly. Does trauma not matter as much when it's Sun's? Is Sun knowing that the body he lived in was being used for murder by Moon not traumatic enough to be taken seriously?
Also the freaking. God the way the show tries to force parallels between Sun and Eclipse is sooooo. So aggravating. No girlypop I don't think Sun killing Bloodmoon, the twins who murder and eat people by the dozens, INCLUDING CHILDREN, makes him just like arc 1-4 Eclipse the serial abuser. No, I don't think Sun wanting to kill the guy who abused him and both of his brothers is in the wrong, actually.
I will die on the hill of Sun being completely innocent of the bullshit characters in arcs 1-4 try to keep accusing him of. Obviously he's not perfect, and yes it was bad at him to yell at Lunar, but I don't think he's a bad person. Like at all. If anything, seeing characters constantly and consistently shame a person recovering from non-stop trauma and stress, who is clearly going through some kind of a mental crisis, is just. Ohhhhhh my god. Oh my god.
They did such a good job showing Lunar's trauma and how it affects him, at least as far as I remember. God I hope the curse of "We're going to write Sun being severely traumatized and mentally unwell, and then never address it without shaming him" gets fixed in later arcs. God I hope.
I think the best way to describe my frustration is to draw a comparison. When Sun gets hit on screen for the first time, we see him become extremely distressed, run to Golden Freddy while sniffling (probably crying on the way there), then GF basically tells him "Hah, boys will be boys!" When Moon talks to Monty about it, all Monty says is "Yeah I'm not touching that, though maybe go comfort your brother." Also all the "whacking stick" jokes. When we see Lunar get hit for the first time, there's a lot more dramatic weight put into it just based on framing. Characters act disturbed or distressed when he brings it up. AS THEY SHOULD BTW. It's just so frustrating to see them handle the stuff with Lunar pretty competently then somehow repeatedly drop the ball with Sun.
Idk. We as a DID system have C-PTSD, and Sun just. I mean that guy definitely has C-PTSD. Like c'mon. There's no way he doesn't. So I guess the reason it's so aggravating is because we're watching an abuse and general trauma survivor get repeatedly demeaned by other characters (with those characters rarely facing repercussions or being called out), infantilized by others ("It's so weird that you're getting so angry Sun, that's not like you!" "You can't kill, you're not the guy who kills!" "You can't do anything to help anyways so stop trying"), vilified by others ("Killing the serial killers who eat people, and wanting to kill the guy who wants to reset the world and literally kill everything and everyone, makes you just like your abuser!").
Sorry I needed to get that out of my system (pun mildly intended). This show's a fun watch for the most part but hooooooly fuck does the writing get on my nerves sometimes.
Also shout out the show having Sun say "Sometimes I wish I was dead" to himself on screen for the audience to see and then never bringing it up ever again afaik. Chekhov's gun more like Chekhov's blue balls. I'm losing my mind

I think itâs a good example of Monty at their worst (or at least when I thought Monty was the worst) that episode could have been such a great moment for Monty to show how for theyâve come, especially their friendship with Foxy, and actually SHOW Monty being more considerate of others. But no, instead we got Monty basically getting the others to watch them berate Foxy for having enough with the whole FC and Stitchwraith situation.
Like I get a big part of Montyâs whole thing was the conflict with their dad but oh my goddddddd Monty repeatedly comparing Foxy to their dad was so frustrating when Foxy did EVERYTHING in his power to make sure FC was taken care of and fed and even tried to get him an education, but when Foxy gets fed up with FC constantly going behind his back and lying to him when all he wanted was for FC to just be truthful, Monty doesnât even try to hear Foxy out. Itâs just Monty rubbing in Foxyâs face on how bad of a father he is, EVEN THOUGH FOXY COULD HAVE EASILY THROWN FC OUT THE SECOND HE KNEW THE STITCHWRATH MADE HIM but Foxy actually wanted to be a dad, even saying that FC was one of the best things that ever happened to him.
So with Monty KNOWING all of that, youâd think they would have some sort of understanding how worn out and beat down Foxy was about the whole situation and how obviously Foxy was at his end. Like the Stitchwraith just kidnapped Earth, now bringing the whole Celestial family into his problems, which Foxy DIDNT WANT TO DO, and New Moon getting mad at them making Foxy feel responsible for it (which he and Monty kinda are since Stitchwraith made it clear they were going to act on threats) Foxy is more worried about how heâs going to impact everyone else since Montyâs dad was already murdered so he just goes to self isolating. Puppet literally called Foxy the saddest man alive (or something along those lines) which is even more clear now with Foxy telling the Stitchwraith he doesnât care if FC gets shut down because heâs tired of everything good thing blowing him in his face and impacting everyone he cares about.
Monty could have gotten their friends and shown that Foxy isnât actually alone, and even if things are rough now, he does have a support system that wants to help him. But do they do that? NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Itâs just Monty yelling at Foxy about how terrible he is and just projecting into Foxy about his own issues with his dad!!!!!!! Telling Foxy how horrible he was to FC and never cared for him!!!!!!! Even though Monty doesnât even care for their OWN son, Vegeta!!!!!! AND FOXY CALLS THEM OUT FOR IT but Montyâs LIES and says he takes better care of VegetaâŠ.. NO YOU DONTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT RAGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Like imagine, instead of Monty cornering Foxy in the office, they see the video and instantly knows somethingâs not right since Foxy has made it very clear he wanted FC so they go to check up on him. They actually hear Foxy out about his frustration with FC and how itâs clearly a one sided relationship and FC has mad it abundantly clear he doesnât like anyone at the pizza place and doesnât see Foxy as his dad. Maybe Monty could bring up his own issues with his dad, maybe with Vegeta too, and how parenthood isnât easy and sometimes kids are going to be trouble. Idk tie those 2 things together since Monty still has problems with his dad even after his death. Monty shows that Foxy doesnât have to be alone and he does have people like Monty, Puppet, and even Frank. Instead of Stitchwraith pushing everyone away from Foxy, Monty (Foxys supposed best friend) reaches out and pushes against that.
I made this a whiiiiile back and only just NOW realized I donât think I ever posted it. This was intended to be a reimagining of how Puppet and Foxy couldâve properly met instead of⊠well. You know

i feel like the difference between tsams fans who say their favorite is moon and those who say their favorite is sun is the same as the difference between most cat people and most dog people. like moon fans chill with sun but sun fans HAAAATE moon.
i hear you anon!đ. personally that hasnât been my experience as a moon fan. a lot of my moots and artists iâve interacted with that are mainly sun fans do have mixed views on moon but not as far as to hate him, some even ship carmoon just as much as me!! i do agree that moon can be a controversial character and his actions can warrant a lot of hate. even as a moon fan myself he finds away to pmođ.
honestly, i think sun fans are the sweetest ppl ever. theyâve been the most welcoming to me in this fandom as new artist. đ
some sun doodles for my sun lovers. I LOVE U GUYS!!

Basically just a Earth character reimagine bc a lot of her writing bothers me yeahhh
I think a lot of Earthâs issues stems from the fact that she just defends and befriends bad people and faces like no push back from it. I think the biggest case of that was definitely The Creator which I donât actually have a problem with it other than how it was handled. I like Earth being a spy willingly or not and giving The Creator updates about what Sun n Moon were doing especially with how much their personalities contrast. Like The Creator is one of the worst people ever, just wants to use his creations for his own benefit despite how that impacts their own lives, and how Earth is a very sweet and caring person. I liked the added conflict of Earth coming out of nowhere in a very stressful and impactful time of Moon resetting and Eclipse getting the star since she was a breath of fresh air that was actually on Sun and Moonâs side, or appeared to be.
I think the biggest change I would have is completely getting rid of Forgor. I thought about this a lot and instead of Earth just forgetting about all the horrible things The Creator did, she knew but would make excuses and defend him anyway, not in a âoh she defends terrible people bc sheâs a terrible person tooâ but in a âEarth is extremely sheltered and was literally built by The Creator, the only person she knew for the first year of her life (if Iâm remembering that correctly), so she defends him bc she doesnât want to think of her father as a bad personâ type of way. I want Earth to genuinely be a good person with good intentions that still hurts the people she cares about.
Earth wouldnât just forgetting about the things The Creator does and instead tries to down play it to Moon and Sun by saying how he didnât mean it like that or that he just has a temper. Like The Creator could threaten Sun n Moon straight to their faces right in front of her and Earth would still go âaww he must have had a pretty bad day today letâs not take that to heart :)â and Sun and Moon would be like wtf.
Of course Earth would eventually understand that The Creator isnât a good person and hurting people, but it be a slow process mixed with a lot of other things going on.
Another big change would just be her personality in general. I actually really like Earthâs personality around when she gets her new body. It kinda removed her from being the female character who had to act all motherly to the male characters. I actually think you could have a sort of twist on this archetype by setting Earth to be that type of character but through her actions and words, show thatâs she not like that at all in is much more complex.
I would still have her be very sweet and bubbly but still way too forgiving, even to characters who donât really deserve it. She would also have a very idealistic view of how the world works. I think her also being isolated with The Creator would have a big impact of how she interacts with others.
I actually donât think The Creator could properly make a ânice characterâ. Earth would be his attempt but she would fall flat in a lot of ways. We know Earth took care of him before being released to the daycare and how that program was so she could take care of children, but what if that was the only way she could interact with the others? Her âmotherly attitudeâ isnât her just checking up on the other characters but how she can infantilize them. She deals with arguments and problems the same way she would with 2 toddlers fighting in the daycare. Her solutions donât really work in the more serious issues the face. Talking to her can sometimes become frustrating since she doesnât see problems in a nuanced light.
I definitely think she would overuse therapy-speak in a non malicious way. I never like that they tried to make Earth therapist. I thought it was stupid. I much more like the others going to Earth to vent about their problems because Earth gives the illusion that sheâs good with emotions and helping others handle theirs. She tries her best and genuinely wants to help but she just doesnât have the experience. I think she would have a problem processing her own emotions. Like with The Creator she would get very upset and defensive if people tried to bad talk him, or when Lunar called her out for being friends with Eclipse she just accused Lunar of not letting Eclipse grow as a person, or when Monty kept doing the shit they were doing she just let them make excuses for it and never actually held them to any standard, or when New Moon got upset at her and rightfully called her out, she just blows up back at him bc she doesnât know how to handle those emotions.
I just think she wouldnât be able to handle confrontation well since it would go against her world view of everything being happy and rainbows and would actually reveal a lot of problems in the people she cares about. Unfortunately having The Creator as her father made it so sheâs much more tolerant of bad behavior and let her go on to defend other bad people like Monty and Eclipse. Sure, they became better later on but at the expense of hurting other people.
I just see Earth as someone is who genuinely cares a lot about others and wants to do good but is extremely bias, close minded, and stubborn in her own ideals and is only able to change though all the shit she went though.
Another thing I would change is kinda her relationship to Bloodmoon.
Bloodmoon is one of the most repulsive characters in the TSAMS universe. The massacred hundreds without remorse and went out of their way despite being given multiple chances at redemption. I love Bloodmoon as a character and I would love for them to be a sort of challenge to Earthâs world view. Idk I just found their interactions very fun.
Earth would of course try to get the Bloodmoon twins to redeem themselves but they would fight back at every stop. I think I would add more moments of Bloodmoon going to the pizzeria to harass the Celestial Family and Earth just trying to talk the out of it and the Bloodmoon twins being genuinely confused. They just wouldnât know how to handle someone actually trying to talk them out of killing with such sincerity that it would just cause them to developed a pure hatred for her. Like them almost killing her was just love for the game they just wanted her gone. But Earth would still try to redeem themselves until the whole 3 parter where Ruin and Bloodmoon kidnap her and almost killing Monty. I would like that to be where her nativity kinda dies bc before that was her fight with New Moon which I would make 100x worse, her finally seeing her dad in a negative light, then the 1 person she repeatedly gave chances to spitting in her face and making clear they didnât want to become better an were going to continue hurting people, even the people she loved and cared for, would make that last thread of hope in that anyone could be a good person snap and she just decides to murk Bloodmoon right then and there.
I would have her chasing Bloodmoon through the tunnels so much more intense, like she would literally be breaking through walls and shit just to beat that little blood freak into the floor. The second she gets her hands on them Ruin has to rush to immobilize her before she actually kills the twins. Idk I just want it to be really violent to combat Earthâs usually very docile personality.
But it would basically just be the death to Earthâs remaining innocence I guess. I would like her character arc to be her slowly getting out of her sheltered world view and come to understand that not everyone is a good person and can be redeemed.
Uhhh I would also just have her and Monty break for a while. I actually donât mind Earth and Monty ending up so quickly if you have it to where Earth has literally never been around other animatronics and hasnât dated and Monty is the first person to have interest so she just decides to go along with it. Monty would still keep a lot of their personality and the events that happens in MGAFS (though I would still had a lot of major changes)
People would still bring up Montyâs behavior to her in which she just brushes off or in the rare chance she talks to Monty about it, they just do the whole âbut Iâm trying to change đ„șđ„șđ„șâ bit and she easily forgives and defends him. Iâd also probably have bigger moments with her and Foxy since she does enable Monty a lot, someone who repeatedly hurts Foxy.
At one point, maybe when she really starts to question her dad and all the things heâs done, is when she will really start getting on Monty about what theyâve done. She would stop letting things go under the carpet and want answers since she feels as if maybe all the people she loves could be bad people. Of course this would all be because of how this impacts her and Foxy would call her out on it but it would just be a step for Earth to really see how people are effected by the things she does and I think she could really develop a good relationship with Foxy that would later get Monty to actually admit they were wrong in a lot of ways. (Though a lot of this is just how she would play into whatâs going on in MGAFS since she pissed me off a lot there lol)
Earth, after her own spiraling, would probably get advice from Sun and Moon about what she should do with Monty, and since I donât think Sun or New Moon even really like Monty would just tell her to take a break since itâs all really messing with her. I want this to be a major moment of her somewhat holding someone accountable and not just letting them continue on their bullshit. Like it would lead into her fully cutting off The Creator and getting some of her own agency back. Idk I just want it to show Earth taking the steps to not being as enabling and setting clear boundaries.
They could get back together but as like 2 people who actually went through their own developments and can actually have a healthy relationship. Idk I think they could balance each other out
Hell, I could go on n on about the whole Nexus deal but that can be put in my Nexus rewrite posts. (When I eventually get to that)
But to summarize, Earth starts out as an extremely sheltered person built by one of the terriblest man in the TSAMS universe to be a daycare attendant to spy on her brothers and it went as well as you expected. Her nativity and close mindedness would refuse to let her see different perspectives about how people she cares about can be bad people and suffering in ways that canât be easily fixed. She would have good intentions but doesnât handle them in the best ways and ends up just hurting people more. She forgives to easily and is often an enabler until it negatively impacts her. Unfortunately, the lesson she learns doesnât come easy and after a lot of heartbreak, but she eventually is able to see the world in a much more nuanced light and can actually grow.
Also no way she was ever the âemotionally intelligent oneâ I give that title fully to Sun idc when I decide to release the ramblings I have for Sun it will be over for all of you trust ily Sun
