After I created the Cosmological Laws of my world, I began to see magic returning to its origins.
What do I mean?
Now I will view magic in its purely traditional sense, grounded in anthropology.
The reason is, when I developed the magic system and it turned into cosmological laws, it all felt mechanicalâlike a procedural step that over-explained too many methods. Plus, I felt that magic had lost its mystery and soul when treated this way.
Thereâs nothing wrong with creating laws or a magic system to prevent deus ex machina in the plot. Therefore, this magical systemâwhich has become my cosmological lawâserves as a framework for shaping magic in my world.
Magic in my world, like traditional magic in most cultures, serves as the identity and social code of a group.
Take spells, for instanceâthey arenât like âfireballsâ in the sense of modern classical magic. In the traditional sense, spells can also be called prayers, which provide protection for the community.
Have you ever heard the myth, âIf youâre walking in the forest and sense that there are no other animal sounds, run immediately!â This might seem like a folk tale about ghosts, but thereâs an explanation: some forest dwellersâlike birds or insectsâwill fall silent when they sense a predator like a tiger. Elders knew this, and as the story was passed down through generations, it evolved into a folk tale.
Thatâs roughly what Iâll apply as well.
When a community believes in a guardian spirit, the collective energy that has consistently sustained that belief over several generations will give rise to a spiritual being that becomes the communityâs guardian. Why does this created spirit entity protect the community? Because its existence depends on the communityâs belief, the spirit entity will tend to do this because it also fears the chaos of the turbulent spirit world; it prefers the stability of the physical realm. Consequently, the community also reaps the benefits.
And all of that can be explained through my Cosmological Law.
Encen energy, influenced by emotion and logic, responds to the communityâs beliefs through a constant collective emotion. Then, the Law of Crystallization takes effect, followed by the Law of Directional Movement, which shapes the spirit beings. Consequently, spirit beings depend on belief to remain in existence, and the community needs the protection of spirit beingsâwhich is the universal law of interdependence.
Complicated? Just know that I have drawn a clear line between the consistency of the writing and the narrative story. Essentially, the Cosmological Laws guide me as a writer and do not enter the narrative as explanations; they exist as consequences and narrative consistency.
And finally, the mystery remains, and there are laws governing magic.
To live is to forget

My magic system has evolved into the Natural Laws of my world.
I donât know why, but the logic of my world compelled me to expand it into something more comprehensive.
Simply put, in the draft of my magic system, magic is created as a reaction between a wild energy called Encen in the Spirit World and the tangible reality of the Physical World.
Wizards need to control that reaction through emotion or logic via biases or cracks in reality.
When I tried to create a mechanism for how magic works, namely: How magic is formed from Encen drawn from the Spirit World into the Physical World.
The basic inspiration was a classic elemental magic system mixed with molecular theory. And there, a connection emerged!
I canât describe that feelingâitâs somewhere between joy and awe. My Meytnnis has given me an incredible surprise!
In the initial draft, the Spirit World is the foundation of reality that shapes the Physical World through raw, abstract Ecen Energy, and then the Physical World stabilizes it into consistent laws of physics. That is the key.
From the magic system, it evolved into 3 LAWS OF NATURE.
Crystallization.
Raw Ecen transforms into Stable Ecen under the pressure of the laws of physics. The laws of physics were formed at the very beginning of Meytnnisâs creation; through two planetary collisions, Meytnnis came into being, and the laws of physics began to operate. Raw Ecen, which flows freely, is forced to take a position within the emerging definition of reality. Gravity, pressure, temperature, timeâthese are not merely material phenomena; they are the first crystallizations of Ecen forced into submission. But this crystallization is not uniform; certain natural phenomena can bend stable Ecen into chaos. This is not a flaw, but a law!
Direction of Motion
I was once in a dilemma when assigning positive and negative properties to Ecen, but that dilemma vanished when I looked at the theory of relativity. Positive and Negative are not properties of Ecen or its layers, but descriptions of the direction of motion! No Ecen is purely Positive or purely Negative permanently. The direction of motion can change depending on the contextâenvironmental pressure, interactions with living beings, local physical laws, the ebb and flow of the two moons.
Even so, the positive is the foundation. Why? This is a line of reasoning Iâve been pondering for a long time, drawing inspiration from the theory that God exists within Kurt GĂśdelâs mathematical formula. I wonât go into great detail, but the gist is that the positive must exist as the foundation of creation; through the collision of two planets, Meytnnis was created, but that collision also created the negativeânamely, destruction. This is a consequence arising from the interaction between existing entities. There is no Negative without the Positive preceding it. This connects to the First Law, the Law of Crystallization. When Positive and Negative meet, their interaction is corrosive: Negative erodes Positive. But corrosive does not always mean total destruction; it can be a form of transformation. Positive is not permanent. Under certain conditions, an Ecen moving toward the Positive can become distorted, causing its direction of movement to reverse or become incoherent.
The Law of Universal Interdependence
This is the Law that underpins the Second Law: No entity can maintain its Positive direction on its own. Interdependence in Metynnis is not merely ecological or politicalâit is cosmological. Because the Negative always erodes the Positive (Law 2), and an entity moving toward the Positive requires consistency to endureâno entity can maintain its positive direction alone against constant negative pressure. Every being, every system, every structure requires something outside itself. Breaking one link in a chain transforms the Negative pressure previously shared by all into a burden that the remaining links must bear.
These 3 Laws are Absolute, but at certain points there is Ambiguity.
Take Law 2, for example. Cosmologically, this is an absolute truth, but its implementation is ambiguous: Is there any Positive strong enough to endure the constant erosion of the Negative? The answer is Trust and Belief. The consistency of trust is how living beings maintain a Positive direction around themselves. But how long this can lastâno one can measure it from the outside, and even from the inside, it is not always clearly felt.

This is the language I discovered deep in the Boreal forest!
Hehe, discovered. Honestly, I donât feel like I created this; rather, this language came to me. As I retraced the journey of an ethnic group called the Serphitc, I discovered that this language originated from the heavens and their ancient identity, evolving as they began to settle in the Boreal forest.
Ancient Seerie
It happened at the end of ancient times, when humans from the southeast migrated northward. They were the Ser people; later, a group from that tribe entered the dense Boreal forest, marking the beginning of the Serphitc ethnic group.
The Ser were a nomadic group of sky-watchers, evident from the roots of their ancient words:
Neir: Snow/Cold
Noei: Light
Roie: Star
Vel: Wind/Air Movement
Vals: Sturdy/Mountain
Vare: Path
Sol: Warm
They were quite consistent in their grammar and sentence structure: Noun (Subject/Object) â Adjective â Verb
The most fascinating aspect is their Suffix Systemâit is the very heart of this language! Among them:
-nei (Activator): Functions to transform a noun into an active verb or adjective. An example is varenei (to endure/stand on the path), derived from the word vare (path)
-sei (Duration/Repetition): Indicates a repeated or continuous action, similar to the rhythm of an orbit that keeps turning. An example is velsei (blowing continuously)
-nari (Genitive of Origin): Indicates the source or origin (âfromâ or âoriginating fromâ). For example, vals-nari means âoriginating from the mountainâ
And...
-nu!
Ah, how beautiful -nu is. It is used to express logic, observations, and conceptual relationships. It is the most versatile particle, capable of indicating the topic, time, purpose, and even cause and effect.
This suffix has a character that is considered âcoolâ and oriented toward logic and observation
-nu is used to mark the main topic of a sentence, equivalent to the words âregarding,â âas for,â or âaboutâ
For example, "Vai nu"... means âAs for me...â
Flexibility of Conjunctions: This suffix forms the basis for nearly all conjunctions in the Seerie language:
Purpose: Becomes nu-me (so that) or nu-ma (in order to)
Cause: Becomes nu-ve (because) or nuv-re (since)
Consequence: Can mean âso thatâ (nu-nel), âuntil finallyâ (nel-nu), or even express surprise due to a threshold being crossed (nee-nu)
The suffix â-naâ in the Serphtic dialect of Seerie denotes the realm of emotions, interpersonal relationships, and social communication. It is a borrowed suffix that emerged when they settled in the region.

This perspective reflects the Serphtic peopleâs deep connection to the cycles of the sky and natural phenomena on the planet Metynnis.
All forms of temporal expression in this language are derived from three root words representing phases of light:
Norai (Past): light that has already reached its full brightness. This refers to things that have been proven, have reached their peak, or have already occurred
Nosei (Present): light that is currently in progress. It is present, real, and active in the here and now
Norei (Future): light that is fading. It refers to things that have not yet arrived or are still fading from their current state
Explain and Example
Now Iâll give an example of a sentence, starting with âNei norai-varenei! Lu-na velvaoa lunvael nei velroina.â
Nei (I): First-person singular pronoun.
Norai-varenei (Has returned): A combination of the past tense root Norai (past/already happened) and the verb varenei (to remain on the path/to be in a place). Literally means âhas returned to the path/place.â
Lu-na You all Guys, the social.
Velvaoa (Telling a story): From the root family Velva- (stories that build structure) with the suffix -oa (I forgot this one) for the active physical act of transforming the external world (conveying a narrative).
Lunvael (Extraordinary): An adjective meaning âlike the moon.â In Serphtic culture, this is the highest compliment, signifying calm, beautiful, and evenly radiant (extraordinary).
Velroina (Sharing an extraordinary vision/story together): From the root family Velroi- (speculative/stellar stories) with the suffix -na indicating social interaction or sharing with others.
Examples of Ancient Seerie Sentences:
âRoei lunei noei selnei.â
Translation: A star resembling the moon emits light.
Word Analysis: Roei (fixed star), lunei (moon-like), noei (sky light), selnei (emits light).
âValneis varenei.â
Translation: The silver tree endures.
Word Analysis: Valneis (snow-light/silver tree), varenei (endure/remain in place).
âNu roei, nosei-vals.â
Translation: Regarding the star, (it is on) the mountain at present.
Word Analysis: Nu (relational particle/regarding), roei (star), nosei (present tense root), vals (mountain).
âNeir-sol varenei.â
Translation: Protective snow (warmth) remains.
Word Analysis: Neir-sol (snow that retains a little warmth beneath it), varenei (persists).
I just almost destroyed my world!
Not in terms of the plot, but I really almost destroyed the foundation that holds my world together.
Back two months agoâŚ
When I went back to reading some classic fantasy novels and delved into the authorsâ biographies.
About how these great masters wrote their worlds, the core insight I gained at that time was the foundation underlying how their worlds were formed.
This bothered me, so I reopened my worldbuilding document, my Meytnnis. What I believed at the time was that my world was already perfect with highly detailed explanationsâevery origin had been explained, the magic system and laws were establishedâuntil I realized something.
My world, my Meytnnis. Had lost its Miracles.
There were too many technical explanations, leaving no mystery to spark the imagination.
The world I envisioned was one of Miracles and Chaos. Two concepts that were supposed to be the foundation of my world, but both were brought down by Logic, which narrowed that foundation.
Damn it, Iâm starting over from the beginning, reworking and reevaluating my world.
What Iâm starting from the beginning is the Primordial Myth, followed by how this world was formed scientifically. Yes, Iâm not simply abandoning logic, but thereâs another obsession.
Rather than explaining everything about how this world is so realistic, Iâm trying to combine Myth and Logic that mutually support the existence of this world.
This has created three major categories:
True: The truth I believe to be true.
Gray: True, but not always. This is the area that gives me breathing room; when explanations become too technical and strip away the magic, Iâll pull the emergency brake before they bring down the entire foundation.
Lie: This is where I can experiment with various perspectives from the society of my world, Meytnnis. Itâs about the overlapping of truth and lies.
Iâm quite satisfied with the result; thereâs physical mechanics, but thereâs also metaphysics that covers the illogical aspects of a phenomenon.
This reflection has changed my perspective on worldbuilding.

What I can say about her is that she is a writer. It's not a hobby, but rather the only way she exists.
There is often a misunderstanding between her writing to express her condition and writing because of her condition. These two things are considered different.
In one of the letters she wrote, she emphasized this.
I don't write despite my condition. I write because of my condition, and these are not the same thing. A body that does not provide normal feedback forces me to pay attention. Not attention in a romantic sense like a poet sitting in a park contemplating beauty. More like... someone walking on a surface that does not always tell you when it will crack. You learn to read other signs. You learn to see things that other people delegate to their bodies to feel automatically. The result is that I pay attention to too many things I shouldn't be paying attention to. And from that excess of attention, writing emerges. She had to struggle amid medical limitations and political and economic turmoil at that time.

The Witch of Archives from Rocum Scintia, whose talent for hearing the secret whispers of ancestors is highly praised by other witches. She has a quiet aura of joy.
This map is only a rough projection. The Meytnnis people do not always rely on maps; they rely on the stars. However, this projection adequately depicts the surface of Meytnnis.
Serphtic
human races, such as Caucasoids (white skin), Negroid (black skin), or Mongoloids (yellow skin). But Serphtic is a fantasy term in my world.
They have an extreme gender ratio, 85% female â 15% male. Why is that? It's related to a curse and a blessing, as well as their long history.
This is a race I'm proud of as an author, not only because I like women, but also because I created a unique biological magic system.
Their spiritual bodies are constantly flooded with magical energy that can burden their physical bodies. Their menstrual cycles and pregnancies are tied to a magical system that handles this issue. Males don't have this, but they adapt well. They release it in a very destructive way during their monthly cycle, which is a dangerous phase for them. There are other ways as well, involving penetration.
Honestly, it's a bit inspired by Omegaverse, but more magical. The initial inspiration was the Demoness and Mother paths in LOTM.
Besides magical biology, there is their matriarchal and matrilineal culture based on inspiration from the Minangkabau tribe of Indonesia.
This is what I like about their culture and traditions. Oh, there are three differences based on their population distribution.
Due to the extreme gender imbalance and harsh climate, one man can have three to five wives, or even nine. This is not a harem, but a matter of survival, depending on the culture and traditions of certain tribes.
Northern Serphtic: The economy and leadership are all in the hands of women, and assets and wealth are passed down to daughters. Men serve as executives, managing some assets and protecting the family.
Southern Serphtic: Women manage the economy and leadership. Some inherited property can be passed on to men under certain circumstances. In some tribes, men can hold leadership positions, but decisions are made by women. Men are responsible for providing for and protecting the family.
Eastern Serphtic: The economy is entirely controlled by women, and all property and inherited assets belong to daughters. Leadership is held by men, with a council of women who elect the leader and supervise him. Men are responsible for earning a living and protecting the family.
TRIVA:
In Northern and Eastern cultures, women are considered symbols of community. In addition to giving birth to the next generation, they are the guardians of traditional values and ancestral heritage.

ive realised that any plot can basically boiled down to The Characters going through Bad Things, so therefore you should absolutely make The Characters suffer more!!
Obviously, without that, there would be nothing interesting in the story.
12/18 - Encyclopedia of Oddities in the Magical World (part 10)
When discussing magical species, creatures, or entities, the question of âAre they animals or people?â comes up quite a lot. The main issue is that while âAnimalâ can technically be correct in terms of how sentient or intelligent something is, âHumanâ is entirely inaccurate. As humans, we use this term based on the idea that humans are the highest level of being when it comes to technology, magic, and intellect. Which we are not. In fact, there is a magical scale from the magical communities that is generally rejected by Human academics and magic users because they see it as âinsultingâ and âdebasingâ, but in reality, when one is comparing creatures who can live for millennia, gods, and makers of the universe, how intelligent do one think they are?Â
The answer is not very, but is that truly surprising? I generally embrace this âscale of sentienceâ, which a majority of inhabitants of other Realms and Planes use to determine how something is treated.Â
The scale goes as follows (from least to greatest of sentience and intelligence): Inanimates, Living Inanimates, Animals, low to high level, Low level creatures, base level creatures, high level creatures, mostly knowing, all knowing, and finally beyond comprehension. The lowest two are not treated to any form of âhuman rightsâ as we would call them (though again that terminology doesn't truly apply here) while the highest three are considered generally above most laws and conventions.Â
Inanimates are exactly what they sound like: furniture, rocks, buildings, anything that exists but doesn't have any form of life energy or thought. Living inanimates are things such as plants, water, or other things that aren't technically living but are still considered alive.Â
Animals are sorted from low-level sentences to high-level sentences. Using examples most humans would know, creatures such as sponges or incense are on the lowest scale, and creatures such as dogs and cats are in the middle, and ones such as dolphins or corvids are in the higher ranges.Â
Low-level to high-level creatures are what most sentient and living beings fall into. With creatures such as humans, orcs, and goblins falling into the âlow levelâ category, Dwarves and elves falling into the base level category, and fae and dragons or near deities falling into the high level category.
Anything low-level creatures and lower is considered âedible creaturesâ. Ones that are not necessary;y against the law for hunting, eating, or the like. Now, does this mean all other magical species are going to hunt humans? No, most sentient beings don't eat, hunt, or farm anything over the animal levels. The exception lies within the final three levels of the scales.Â
The ones who know are generally low-tier deities, arch mages, or other such powerful magic beings whose access to their powers gives them a higher understanding of things. Creatures such as Demons, angels, devils, high fae, and higher-level dragons fall into this category. For the most part, they don't eat anything above the animal classes, though dragons and the celestials have been known to on rare occasions and usually only out of the utmost necessity.Â
All known are the full-blown gods and higher beings; they are usually omniscient to some extent and have a great amount of power.Â
The mostly and all knowing are usually held to at least some portion of the law and standard decency when it comes to their actions and repercussions. The amount they are held to usually ends up depending on how powerful the person holding them is. It's hard to hold a good person responsible for their evil actions if you don't have the power to accurately reprimand and punish them.Â
The beyond comprehension is where everything âgoes out the windowâ so to speak. There is no controlling, reprimanding, or expectations of Disney when it comes to them because theyâre⌠well, theyâre beyond comprehension.
