what is something that you are on the verge of forgetting/ which affected you more than you think?

i'll start ✧

⚁ when i told my (now ex-) therapist that i thought about obliterating myself; she made me sign a contract that i wouldn't. i went home for those 30 minutes, and had to text her that i got home safely/didn't get run over by a car.

⚄ i am responsible for a class of 11-year-olds.

⚀ i got to see Suki Waterhouse, Chappel Roan, and Laufey live. >.<

What is something you are on the verge of forgetting that impacted you a lot more than you realize?

★ I grew up going to an evangelical church *shudders* where women were still expected to veil (something most churches retired out in the 1980s-1990s) and kids got rewarded for getting their friends to come to church.

Also there were no non-white families attending, but my neighborhood at the time was prominently white, so I'm not sure if anything weird was up with that necessarily.

★ As a kid there was a meth lab at the front of my neighborhood that burned down probably annually for 3/4 years, and my mom would take us to the front of the neighborhood to watch firefighters put it out.

★ When I was 15/16, I was having a psychotic episode for months, and during that time I was both on ADHD stimulants and antipsychotics (which you aren't supposed to be on at the same time). Instead of accessing which one I needed more, my psychiatrist told me to pick which one I wanted to be on. At 16.

★ In my family, the women always domineered while the men took more of a backseat/relaxed role. This created a very skewed idea of typical gender roles for me.
