My Personal Thoughts about The New Monster High Movie and Reboot (SPOILERS)
Finally got to watch it. So yeah.
So Draculaura took Frankie’s place as the main character and narrator. Ok..
The animation improved though.
I like how werewolves have the ability to go into full wolf form unlike the other version.
Draculaura is undeniably fucking adorable.
None of my favorite characters exist and that left me very disappointed.
The lore is waaaaaaaay different from the other version. That bothers me.
Instead of one big brother and two other sisters, Howleen only has a shitload of little brothers.
Some of the ghoul’s modeling on their faces bother me. They look so…boney and hard.
Cleo doesn’t look like herself :/
Nefera, my waifu, doesn’t exist either.
I HATE Lagoona’s new design. It closely resembles Moanica’s design.
Deuce. No. Fix him please. He looks horrible.
Shame on them. They took away Headmistress Bloodgood.

They made me ship FrankieLaura.
Toralei looks like a crackhead who does heroine after school.
That green fish guy is a Gil imposter.
Moanica makes me cringe. Ghoulia is way better.
Raythe is just that cliché fuckboy that hits on one of the popular girls and asks her to the dance or some shit. He has potential and would be a better character if he just wasn’t Howleen’s love interest.
Moanica’s laugh makes my ears bleed.
Regardless of not actually being together in the first place, at least they still acknowledge the power couple: Deuce and Cleo.
No doubt Toralei and her fish boyfriend did drugs at the dance.
Toralei is a totally different monster without Meowlody and Purrsephone.
Oh shit! Toralei got a tail!
Ari Hauntington is pretty cute. But Spectre is better :/
I want Ari and Catty Noir to do a duet together.
At least they didn’t forget about Twyla.
Great. Moanica is just an ongoing villain that’ll be annoying as hell and won’t stop being fucking annoying.
I pretty much enjoyed the movie. Yet something about it didn’t quite fit into what I once watched and what I grew up with that was once called Monster High. I can honestly say that the old generation is way better and more fun to watch. Not to mention there were more characters to fall in love with unlike the reboot which totally lacked that. Really it lacked many things. I wasn’t really satisfied but I was entertained pretty well by the first movie.
