the way Vivinos is always pointing out how the kpop industry exploits their idols is so fucking good, like people try to deny this concept in Alien Stage but it's SO obviously there
also, this MV emphasizes Mizi's struggles and how people only ever exploit her for her looks and that's all they wanna reduce her to
the mv showcasing women idol sexual exploitation, misogyny, and forced heteronormativity/homophobia using a zombie infection as backdrop/visuals was genius
Mizi and Sua with big dreams of wanting to become idols together (being together forever as they put it), but only Mizi making it into the industry.
Mizi gaining fame, but at the cost of losing herself along the way. An industry that forces her to hide her sexuality causing a drift between her and Sua.
the backdrop of a zombie infection that spreads in the middle of all this, which leads to humans capturing zombies and using them as entertainment by making them perform for their sick pleasure (just like in alien stage), and the loser is forced to lose a body part which then gets auctioned
The constant sexualization and exploitation of Mizi, how fans and media only ever care about her body, her sexual appeal, but not her as a person which results to her being just an empty shell of who she used to be and using substance to cope. Sua confronting her which leads into a fight that Mizi runs away from, causing her to get infected.
Sua looking for zombie Mizi who has been tied up, eyes gauged out from her previous performance in which she lost, but Sua not caring and kissing her anyway because she'd rather be infected with Mizi than be separated from her
Mizi and Sua sharing a stage again as zombies with an audience that mostly consist of gross men (some women) who are entertained/drooling over the exploitation and misery of two women who have no choice or body autonomy in the situation, but the ONLY person who looks disgusted by what they are seeing is Hyuna
the way zombie Mizi has no eyes, frontal lobe destroyed, and a lifeless smile on her face, but has the rest of her body completely intact. even after "death" she is just a pretty body that entertains and smiles through it, nothing else.
also, Mizi being a lesbian is a very important part of who she is and denying that is a disservice to her character. the things that transpire in the MV is why she ended up so miserable and depressed that the light fades from her eyes. (quite literally, she losing her eyes) she's no longer able to see the truth, a way out
the kpop industry weaponized Mizi's hopes and dreams of becoming a well liked idol which lead her to a path of exploitation and sexualization that separates her more and more from her true self that she eventually self destructs
