What do you think of Green yuris ongoing arc rn?
I think it only feels obnoxious to a lot of people because we are not getting updates in bulk. We get like 4 pages per week so the resolution is taking a bit therefore everyone is anxious with the state of Aya and Mitsuki's relationship.
I think story wise, it's healthy for the author to give us SOME form of conflict. Yes, it's annoying, but you have to remember Aya and Mitsuki are young adults, 21 and 20 respectively, not even out of college age yet, and they are navigating a very turbulent era of their lives.
They're both adults now with their whole life ahead, at this age most people do NOT have their life together, so a bit of conflict regarding their relationship is normal at this transitional stage in their life. They have to think about how does their relationship fit into what they want to do with their life etc. etc.
Communication is key! I want them to talk, I want Mitsuki to be more open to Aya and just talk to her instead of leaving her in the dust. I also want Aya to communicate her frustrations to Mitsuki instead of just kind of taking it and waiting at her pace ALL the time. Mitsuki needs to step up sometimes in my opinion about addressing Aya's feelings. It always feels like Aya over compensates for Mitsuki's lack of communication sometimes. Aya has literally tried asking her to tell her what's wrong and Mitsuki just shuts her down. At the same time thought like I said, she's young and this is her first and only relationship, they both have a lot of learning to do on how to be with someone long term. Like yes they are adults but I can forgive them for it because they're young right now. This is pretty standard for couples at this age lmfaoo, hell most are worse. If anything I was more destructive with my relationships at this point and was on my 3rd ever relationship vs their 1st. Does the arc annoy me? Yeah sure, but also eh, green yuri is a slice of life type manga that has no cool action scenes or whatever so like the story will feel lackluster at times. This is one way to form conflict that leads to resolution. AKA giving us content.

my thoughts on the supergirl movie
finally saw the supergirl movie! and i genuinely liked it
was it perfect? not really, there's some things i would have preferred considering the source material they used for inspo (aka one of my fave story of hers) but honestly it isn't as bad as a lot of people have made it out to be
Kara-wise, chef's kiss. Milly did a great job with her and I love that Kara is a MESS, but beneath it all a good person. I like that her fighting isn't refined and they were not afraid to make her look rough. Girly was fighting for her life a lot but I'm glad her hair and makeup wasn't still perfect through it all
visually? stunning. could be better at some parts, more colorful planets like we see in the comics. i have this slight pet peeve in movies when characters go to space and go to other planets where it just looks like mars or star wars. like get more creative please, but whatever.
the fighting was cool in my opinion. pretty standard i dont want to spoil much but there's a part i particularly really liked where she would phase in and out like tracer using a device etc (spoiler she isnt around yellow sun sometimes so her powers aren't always present yet girly persists and i love that)
the needle drop everyone kept complaining about was not bad at all. you need context and tbh i think it worked better that way. i was prepared to be taken out of it and be disappointed like everyone else but honestly? i think it worked well.
just some other nitpick things: -a shame that we didnt see her use suit enough, hopefully in the future we do. -the way they decided to tell the krypton part was odd to me, it wasn't as in dept as i'd like and how it went in the comic, but like i said nitpick, they did a good job with the kryptonese tho -why the fuck was lobo even there bro? he served nothing to the plot truly. if he wasnt there nothing would change. - they took out a lot of parts obviously, and switched some things around in terms of order, but ik it's bc they just wanted to set up the universe their way OVERALL? 8/10, it was a nice movie and im a sucker for supergirl stuff. also thank GOD there isnt any romance.
