One time I was in Argentina and I was so tired of trying to speak Spanish because I'm not very good at it lmao so I broke into exasperated English and the retail seller girl quickly understood me and engaged me in conversation. We talked for a while, she introduced me to a makeup brand, and then I decided to buy it. While she was packaging the purchase, she asked me if I were from the US or perhaps the UK and I just said "oh no I'm Brazilian hahah" and she looked me straight in the eyes and said, in clear Portuguese, "I'm Brazilian too"

I somehow just realized I have never in my entire life seen a panda this clearly? Any image or video I can recall was usually lit starker so you couldn’t easily make out the eyes and the panda was kind of facing down or off to the side. Buying into Disney+ was a mistake to begin with. If nobody had signed onto it and continued to pirate it instead, they’d have been forced to put their content back into the already existing streaming services. And, hell, we never should have fallen for “exclusively on x streaming service” shows as a marketing campaign. It just allowed several of them to pop up. If we hadn’t fallen for it they might have had to offer lower prices, higher quality, promises not to delete content, more accurate subtitles, better categorization, or better access to movies and television in other countries. Never laugh at older generations for buying into cable television when we’ve collectively fallen for the same shit with different branding.
