A WIP of the previous line art I posted earlier- I don’t render in any particular order so it’s messy and all over the place but please do ignore that, I just felt like sharing.

Jack pauses when he sees the food present. Cheese sticks.. a fuck ton of spaghetti.. tubs of icing…? When he grabs his drink he jokes "you got pizza rolls in the freezer?"

He expects Robby to laugh but instead the man casually says he does. Jack laughs to himself and opens the freezer out of curiosity. He sees pizza rolls, three of the same microwaveable meal, and hot pockets.

"What, are you in your 20s?" Jack jokes. The moment he says that everything clicks to him.

i'm thinking pure crack levels of miscommunication here- maybe with jack and robby having an apartment close to the hospital for the strings of back to back shifts that leave you dog tired, as well as a super nice house further out in the suburbs, so out of sheer luck jack and robby never manage to take dennis home to the same place when it's just two of them, so he assumes they're living separately but spend a lot of time at each other's places. and sure, they both are openly okay with this arrangement between the three of them, and the sex is mind blowing in pairs and all together, but dennis never sees jack and robby be intimate with each other, only him.

he does not pick up on the crazy sex they have with each other constantly because dennis, lovingly, is an idiot, and when he's around his daddies are more focused on spoiling him than each other.

it's driving dennis crazy because he can see how much jack and robby care about each other but he's convinced they're not together and that it's his job to rectify this. his attempts to set up dates or get them to talk about their feelings for each other mostly go over jack and robby's heads, because why would it occur to them that dennis is trying to set them up with their husband? they start getting more worried that dennis is insecure of where he fits and minimizing himself in their relationship and sit him down to talk it out.
