"I am shocked and offended at that rude statement— despite how truthful it is." Pouting, Callie threw the box of thin mints at him. "I want those back, though. Don’t eat all of them."

"The truth hurts." Casey teases, a grin spreading across his face when she chucks the candy at him. He opens the box, sitting down on the edge of Callie's bed and shaking his head. "No promises. Where have you been anyways? You, like, fell off the face of the earth."

"Okay." She nods, smiling softly as he kissed her hand. "I wanted you to know that now..because I’ve got a lot of morphine going on so I probably won’t remember how embarrassing this is tomorrow."

Casey chuckles softly lifting his head to look at her. "Don't worry, I'll remind you." He smiles.

"Case?" Kat said, looking at him, entangling their fingers together. "I love you." She said, before looking down at the ground and then her hospital bed. "You know that, right?"

Casey nods, looking down at the ground when she looks away from him and squeezing her hand lightly. "I know," he whispers and then turns his head pressing a soft kiss on the back of her hand. "I love you too, Kat."

Kat looked over at Casey, her eyes watering up and she bit onto her bottom lip, reaching out to him with her hand. “I’m sorry you have to worry about me.” She whispered.

Looking at Kat, Casey gives her a small smile and extends his hand to take hers. "I worry because I care about you." He replies quietly.

"No. Just you."

"Okay, I'm just gonna stay right here then. I won't go anywhere."

"Thanks for loving me so much that you’d want to kill me." She smiled softly.

"Are you seriously alright though? Do you need anything?"

"Shut up, Kat, Jesus Christ. This is exactly what I was afriad of." He looks down at her laying in the bed and clenches his fists at his sides, letting out a deep sigh. "You're just lucky I'm this happy you're okay or I'd fucking kill you right now."
