One of the things I love about my wife is that she occasionally forgets that she literally grew up on the banks of the Mississippi River, and not all rivers have the same level of sheer catfish power.

I’m still having trouble processing the idea that any given body of water might *not* be home to so many catfish

If it makes you feel better I forget that not everyone grows up expecting there to be an alligator in literally every body of water. Including swimming pools.

ok but what’s yalls collective stance on crayfish/crawfish/crawdads cuz im from new york and it amazes me that you cant always go to the local Brook or Stream and just scoop one up with your hands

Oh we’ve definitely got those funky little dudes all over. I used to scoop them out of our pond and sell ‘em to my uncle for ten cents each.
