I am rising from the grave to say that this is the biggest piece of dogshit ever endorsed through Falcom. I have never seen a more concentrated collection of mischaracterization, blatant ignorance of basic plot elements, and unnecessary changes of varied character designs from a video game novel in my life. Kashina is blatantly clear how much she vastly preferred Lacrimosa of Dana with small references to that game being the only facts she bothered to be correct with in her adaptation; and instead of simply not writing this next entry, she submits a bastardization of what is a game filled with love letters to the entirety of the Ys Series. I do not know why she made this choice but I think it's absolutely unacceptable to treat one of Falcom's staple series entries like this. I will be severely disappointed is she is hired again after this.
