Enid Sinclair has always considered herself a nerd. Jumping into fandoms and genres of all kinds, from movies, tv shows, books, and video games. Being the youngest in her family she was exposed to so much because of her brothers. From yearly Star Wars marathons, late night Marvel premiers, anime bing watches, anything you can think of Enid Sinclair has probably done.
So it wasn’t a big surprise to anyone when she started working at a video game store when she started college. And of course she made going to work look fashionable, always sporting graphic tees with her baggy mom jeans and her signature go to high top pink converse. She’s been working at the store for a little over two years now as a part timer due to her studies but Enid’s made it work. Luckily for her the store was right in the middle of the mall, which was only a few minutes drive from campus.
On this particular day Enid was in the middle of her shift bored out of her mind. It was the middle of a slow week for her, the semester had just started so not many people were roaming the mall as usual. Sighing, the blonde rested her chin on her hand as she leaned across the counter closing her eyes. She still had a while before Ajax came to take over.
All of a sudden she heard footsteps approaching, opening her eyes she came face to face with a pair of deep brown eyes. Startled by the person’s sudden appearance Enid straightened up, “H-Hello, my name is Enid. How can I help you today?” She stuttered out, she was starting to get a good look at her person before her and wow.. It was a girl around her age if she had to guess, her brown hair was neatly made into pigtail braids that rested over her shoulders. From how close the stranger was standing from her Enid could make out the beautiful scatter of freckles across her nose and cheeks.
What tied this girl’s looks together even more was the black three piece suit she was sporting. Black slacks ironed to perfection, a black vest over her black silk button up, and a striped black and white blazer to pull it off. This girl was dressed to the tens while Enid had decided to wear her pink Spider-Man graphic tee and paint stained mom jeans today. She felt a blush rising as she realized she was openly gawking at this girl.
Whether the girl herself noticed Enid’s embarrassment or simply chose to ignore it she finally spoke, “I’ve come to make a bargain with you Enid.” She stated flatly, her dark gaze piercing through her bangs.
Well, that was one way to start a conversation for sure. Enid smiled despite the odd statement, “Sure! What would you like to trade for?”
“The use of your microwave.”
Blinking, Enid held her gaze with the girl for a moment. Their microwave?
“Our microwave?” Confused, Enid tilted her head to the side.
“Correct, the store next to ours recently closed and that was where we would often venture to for the use of their microwave.”
“I-I see, uh yeah it shouldn’t be a problem in the slightest,” Enid stammered, “Can I ask what store you’re from?”
“Addams’ Suit Shop.”
“Addams?” Why did that name sound familiar?
“Yes, we are actually adjacent to your own store.” The girl moved slightly to the side, and sure enough Enid saw out the store window a large sign with the words ‘Addams’ Suit Shop’ written in cursive white font.
“So, what do you say Enid? The use of your microwave and we will offer an even trade in return.” The raven haired girl offered, her stance straightening.
The blonde pondered for a moment, “Well what would you have to offer us.. Uh..”
Realizing she never gave Enid her name, the brown eyed girl spoke up, “Wednesday, Wednesday Addams.”
“Oh, are you related to the owners of the shop?”
“Unfortunately yes,” She sighed, “My father wished for me to spend time at our family shop while I was here at university.”
“That’s so cool!” Enid beamed before she began to ponder for a moment, “So about that bargain… Hmm I’m not sure. We do have to walk across the mall to use the bathroom so that would be nice–”
“Consider it done.” Wednesday interrupted, straightening up before turning around and walking out the store.
Dumbfounded by the girl’s straightforwardness Enid couldn’t help but admire her retreating form. Well, her shifts were going to get a lot more interesting with the kooky dark haired girl around.
And like that the following weeks became a whirlwind of shenanigans when the Addams’ dropped by to use their store’s microwave. The introduction of Wednesday Addams and her family (all of Wednesday’s coworkers were in some way shape or form were related to her) to the rest of her coworkers was interesting to say the least. First was Ajax, who met Wednesday the first day Enid did. Wednesday had swung by later that day to heat up her lunch just as Ajax had clocked in.
If the boy weren’t Enid’s friend she would have been mortified when he was stunned by Wednesday’s appearance, “You’re black and white.. Like a living instagram filter.” He was in total awe of her, not that Enid could blame him. But just as Ajax was about to reach out towards the black and white girl she stepped back with a hardening glare set his way. So maybe Ajax wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, even more so when he was clearly stoned, but even he took that as a sign to back off from the raven haired girl. Wednesday didn’t seem open to casual touch.
The following week the next person that Wednesday met was Eugene, and surprisingly she approached the boy. She had seen him reading a book about poisonous insects and had commented about personal experiences with specific species. Turns out Wednesday had grown up encountering a good handful of these insects and had an extensive knowledge about them. Eugene of course jumped right back with his bee facts, even telling Wednesday about his own personal hive which seemed to impress her even more when she was told that he used little to no protection for the bees.
Since that day Eugene and Wednesday would have small interactions that would increase with time. Later on the boy would from time to time bring Wednesday honey from his hive. In return Wednesday would collect the poisonous species in their area to showcase them to the shorter boy. She would find the already dead bugs and present them in a preserved box for him. To no one’s surprise Wednesday told Eugene she was used to taxiderming animals from her family’s property so doing the same to smaller inscent was child’s play.
Yoko and Divina were the next pair to meet Wednesday, unfortunately for her though she had walked in on the pair making out in the lunchroom when she came back for her heated lunch. The pair had pulled back in shock before Yoko took a good look at the girl and whistled, “You must be Wednesday. Enid had raved to me about you, and man she was not lying about the killer suits. Thanks for saving us a long walk across the mall.”
Wednesday glanced down at her suit and without missing a beat replied back, “Hmm, I suppose ‘killer’ is one way to describe this suit. It was a fair trade if I do say so myself, although I do wish Enid would have warned me about the risks of witnessing such sickening displays of affection in the lunchroom.”
Yoko, having no shame, then had the balls to ask what she was having for lunch since it smelled great. Wednesday told her she was having a garlic shrimp pasta dish that her grandmother had taught her to make.
Divina, embarrassed by the interaction, smacked her girlfriend across the head. Scolding her for even asking. Yoko only laughed in return before throwing a wink Wednesday’s way, “Well I’m deadly allergic to garlic, so I guess I can’t take a bite this time.”
Wednesday raised a brow, walking towards the microwave to retrieve her food. She was about to make her exit before she turned towards the pair with a menacing smirk, “That’s good to know.” Before walking out.
When the pair had told Enid later that day about their interaction with the goth the colorful girl was more than mortified. It had only been a few weeks since she had met Wednesday but she had overheard a conversation with her and Eugene regarding her suits and some aspects of said suits.
“Woah, Wednesday I think your suit has a tear.” The boy pointed out, gesturing to the small tear of the girl’s black blazer. Something seemed to be sticking out of the blazer’s hole. And it seemed to be shining from the light.
Frowning, the girl tugged at her blazer. “Unfortunately you seem to be correct Eugene. I had told father this new line was not the standard quality the rest of our other suits carry.” Sliding her suit off Wednesday reached into the blazer’s pocket and pulled out a six inch dagger.
Stunned, Eugene stared wide eyed at the deadly weapon. There was no way Wednesday carried that on her person everyday right?
Humming in discontent the raven haired girl twirled the dagger. “Such a shame. It seems father and I will need to have a talk with the sorry excuse of a man that convinced us his supplies were ‘top market’. What sorry excuse of a businessman can’t provide the necessary materials for his suit’s pocket to conceal a simple dagger?”
Enid had walked in just in time to hear that last part and see Wednesday Addams twirl a lengthy dagger with ease. Oh no, she had made the mistake to befriend (crush on) and make a deal with a psychopath but she had found the whole thing more attractive than she’d care to admit. After recounting that story Divina and Yoko had opposite reactions. Divina had turned pale from the story. Yoko on the other hand being the little demon she is, smiled wildly, “Do you think Addams carries any of those suits in red?” The blonde didn’t dare mention that Wednesday came back the next day to inform Eugene that she had straightened the man out for his incompetence, luckily she did not need to use any weapons… this time.
From then on Yoko and Wednesday had a sort of love/hate friendship. Yoko teasing Wednesday’s height and the goth in turn threatening the girl with garlic. Over the weeks the girls started to bond over their fascination of horror. Yoko would show the girl clips of horror games coming out this year while Wednesday would recite gruesome poems or stories from her favorite books. It seemed like that was all Wednesday would have an interest in reading. At least that was until Divina accidentally uncovered one of Wednesday's favorite genres one day.
“I’m so glad Professor Glad assigned us something I’m familiar with.” Divina sighed in relief, throwing her bag across the breakroom table. Yoko followed close behind, though she didn’t work today she decided to tag along since the break room had free snacks. Wednesday was once again heating up her food when Enid entered the room.
“Hmm? What did he assign this time? I have his class tomorrow morning.” Enid questioned, taking a seat across the pair.
“He said to choose any poet’s work that ranged from the seventh century to nineteenth century. Analyze said work and explain how we can relate to it.” The short haired brunette finished off, taking out her text book and name tag from her bag.
“Damn, well at least he gave a broad timeline to choose from.” Yoko chimed in, already munching on a granola bar.
“Yeah.. but I’m wanting to analyze something I’m familiar with, you know? I doubt there were any badass lesbian poets during those times.” Divina half heartedly joked.
The dinging from the microwave interrupted the girls’ conversation. Wednesday had taken her lunch out and without looking up spoke, “Actually there were in fact homosexual poets during that time.” She opened the lid to her lunch to cool, the steam dancing above the dish.
Momentarily stunned the trio stared at the girl as she began to casually eat her lunch.
“Hang on, how would you know Wednesday?” Yoko asked.
“I’ve studied a variety of poets and authors during that time period. Though they never outright said they were homosexual or ‘gay’ it was heavily implied with certain works of artists. Emily Dickinson was one example for this. The letters to her sister in law, Susan Gilbert, had very heavy sapphic undertones in them.”
“Woah Addams, who knew you were an expert in lesbian history.”
“Of course I am Tanaka, I wouldn’t be considered a good lesbian if I wasn’t.” And with that the dark haired girl walked out of the room leaving a pair of shocked lesbians themselves and a baby gay in total disbelief.
“Did she just–” Divina tried to start.
“Enid, bestie, did you know Addams was a total lesbian?” Yoko asked as she turned to face her totally red faced best friend. And with that Yoko had gotten her answer.
“The suit.. I should have known by the suits.” Dazed the multicolored haired girl muttered, Enid had only been admiring Wednesday from afar these past few weeks. But now she knew that Wednesday Addams totally swung that way–
“I’m so fucked.”
Enid had not only been able to coax Wednesday to talk more about her interests since that day but she and Wednesday had actually begun to study together during their lunches. Turns out Wednesday did attend the same university as the rest of them but her family had a property near the grounds where she would stay at instead of the dorms. And that’s where the pair truly began to get to know one another.
During a closing shift both had shared in their respective stores the pair began to make their way to Wednesday’s car. The new routine began after Enid had missed the bus back to campus and had asked for a ride back since Wednesday lived nearby. The dark haired girl didn’t mind giving her lift. Thinking it’d be a one time thing, but after seeing the blonde miss the bus a few times due to late staying customers Wednesday offered Enid rides back to campus everytime their schedules lined up. Or if both girls got out later than expected they would make their way to Wednesday’s place to spend the night.
On this particular day Enid was still sporting her mom jeans and a crop top. The cold breeze passing through did shake a shiver out of her. The goth, noticing the girl’s discomfort pulled her long wool coat off her body and pushed it toward the blonde. “Here.”
Shocked by the gesture Enid stared at the coat presented to her. “Are you sure? I mean it’s only a short walk–”
“Take the coat Enid.” Wednesday insisted, stretching her coat towards the other girl.
Smiling, Enid took the coat and wrapped it around her shoulders. Luckily the coat was on the larger side, fitting like a warm blanket around her. “Thank you Wednes..”
“Don’t mention it.” And with that the pair continue their way to the car. Enid taking in subtle sniffs around the coat’s collar. Wednesday always has this distinct smell to her. She smelled like a forest after a stormy day, mixed with spilled ink.
“Enjoying the coat Sinclair?”
Looking to her side Enid saw the Addams sporting a smug look. It blew Enid’s mind that even with that annoyingly knowing look that she was sporting Wednesday still managed to look breathtaking. She was doomed.
“I-I have no idea what you’re talking about!” Enid squeaked out.
Smirk still very much present the raven haired girl walked towards the passenger side door, opening it for Enid. If Enid felt rising heat to her face it wasn’t from the Addams chivalry, no, it was just the cold stinging wind.
“Come then, we are a ways away from home.” Wednesday urged softly.
The blonde made her way in the car and slid onto the warm leather seat. ‘I wonder how Wednesday always knows when to activate her remote start from the mall? Without fail the seats are always warm and cozy when we make it to the car.’ Enid questioned, snuggling deeper in the heated seat.
The drive to Wednesday’s place was a quiet one, both girls were exhausted from today. Finals were peaking around the corner, the holiday season was kicking off which in turn meant more customers for their respective stores coming in for last minute shopping. It seemed to catch up to them when they finally pulled up to the driveway. After shutting the engine off both girls got out of the car and made their way to the front door. The first time Enid visited she half expected an old style victorian home to be painted in black but to her surprise the home itself was a small villa. Of course it was still painted black but it had a charm to it.
Wednesday had told Enid her family had bought the property before it was bulldozed down. The style of the home did not match the surrounding 'suburban style’ houses but it had caught the eyes of the Addams family. Originally the home owners before the Addams were a Mexican older couple. They had bought the land and built their home from the ground up, adopting the traditional villa look. Wednesday had admitted even when the home was painted with a variety of colors it looked stunning. They couldn’t bear to see it destroyed since the couple were moving back down to Mexico for their retirement and no offers were being made.
So in true Addams fashion Gomez and Mortica had offered more than what the older couple were asking for and swore to keep the house in their family. To never change the style of the home besides the color, and to keep the cultural significance of it alive. The Addams knew all too well what the value of traditions meant. The older couple, relieved at the idea of their home being sold to a family that understood its cultural value gladly accepted the Addams’ offer.
Unlocking the front door Wednesday flicked the lights on, illuminating the home. She made room for Enid to enter before shutting the door behind them, locking her car in the process. The pair only had a moment to breathe before meow drew their attention towards the shadowy hall.
“Hello Thing.” Wednesday replied as the black and white black made his presence known by making his way towards the light.
“Thing!” Enid couldn’t help squealing as she dropped to the floor and began to pet the cat who was already purring as if he were a motorboat.
Scoffing, the dark haired girl walked past the pair, “You spoil him Enid.”
An irritated meow made its way out of Thing’s mouth but Enid only cooed at him, “Don’t listen to her. She’s just hangry because she had a customer come in the last hour to get 3 fitted suits~”
“That numskull should have known since we’ve never seen him before it would take well over 20 minutes like he said it would take to get those suits fitted.” The raven haired girl gumbled back as she made her way to the kitchen.
Giggling at the girl, Enid then picked up the cat and made her way to the kitchen. “He was also asking if they had a teal shirt he could buy.”
Wednesday, who by that point was cutting up ingredients clenched the knife she was using. “It’s fall… and the manic went with teal? At the very least he could get a color that matched his suits if he was going to ignore the seasons.” She finished by bringing down the knife with a resounding thud on the cutting board. “Mother was right, homicidal maniacs look just like everyone else.”
“Well from what I could hear across the store he seemed to have learned his lesson from your reprimand Wednes.”
“Good, maybe next time he won’t ask idiotic questions about the basics of how to properly wear a fitted suit.” Wednesday replied with a bitter tone. “Such imbeciles this time of year I swear.”
“You’re telling me,” Enid stepped in. Grabbing the pre-seasoned chicken from the fridge, “I swear if I get one more parent coming in the store with their spoiled kids demanding the new Switch before it’s even come out yet I’ll gouge my eyes out.”
“Normally I’d pay money to see that but then I’d have no one to witness Tankaka’s idiotic behavior with.”
“Aww Wednesday you do care!” The blonde cooed.
Taking the side eye and silence as response Enid pulled a pan from the cabinets and poured a light amount of olive oil for the chicken. The two girls continued to work in silence with Enid occasionally stealing a bite. When all was said and done the pair took a plate of food to the couch and decided to watch a few episodes of Stranger Things.
Wednesday had finally agreed to watch a show that didn’t freak Enid out too much and she was surprisingly invested in it. Now she had to suffer along with Enid for the next season to come out the following year. She enjoyed the suspense.
After they finished dinner and another episode of the show Wednesday suggested they start studying before it gets too dark out. “The sooner we study today the better our chances are of remembering the material for our next class.”
“Ugh I hate when you’re right.” Enid complained.
“Then you must hate me all the time Sinclair.” Wednesday teasingly smirked.
“Oh haha.” The girl sarcastically remarked as she reached for her backpack, pulling her laptop and books from it.
The sun was beginning to set sooner than usual, thanks to winter days approaching. An orange glow illuminated the room, Wednesday deciding to clean up a bit before she began to study and took their plates to the kitchen sink. She was spacing out until she heard a soft hum of music coming from the living room. Slowly making her way towards the sound Wednesday stopped at the entrance, Enid and her did share a trait that helped them both study. Both girls loved listening to music. Though their tastes varied from Enid’s excessive pop music to Wednesday’s classical instrumental they had a deep appreciation of all genres.
Today it seemed like Enid needed a slower tempo for her work. But it wasn’t the music that stopped Wednesday at the doorway, it was Enid herself. The orange light had delicately covered Enid in all her glory, her blonde hair seeming to be set aflame from the sun. To Wednesday, the blonde just needed a halo and wings to finish off her ethereal look. Her eyes downcasted in concentration, that was until she looked up to see Wednesday staring at with a softened expression.
“Wednes?” She asked.
Wednesday, realizing she had been caught, cleared her throat before making her way back to the blonde’s side. “Apologizes Enid, I didn’t realize I had spaced out,”
“It’s okay! Do you still want to study? I know it’s getting late and I don’t want to take up more of your time–”
“It’s alright, yes I would still like to study with you. If anything I think it might be more beneficial if we made this an overnight session, don’t you?”
Grinning with that wolfish smile that seemed to be melting Wednesday’s resolve everyday the blonde could only nod in excitement.
“Sounds perfect!” She replied with a brightening smile, one that outshone the rays of light bleeding into the room.
With a small uplifting of her lips Wednesday turned her own attention to her studies, oblivious to the blue eyes enchanted by her.

Chapter 2
The girls had stayed up a few more hours before they decided to call it a night. The sun had set long ago but the soft light of lamps had now illuminated the room. Wednesday glanced down at her watch, 10:57. She was slightly surprised by that, her studying session with Enid had passed by quicker than she planned. It might be too late to take Enid back to campus, she wasn’t going to risk the girl getting into trouble because they lost track of time.
She turned her attention towards the blonde who at this point was half falling asleep on her laptop. While Wednesday herself usually enjoyed having a system and organizing herself while she studied Enid had a different approach to things. The short haired girl’s notes were slightly scattered across her lap and the coffee table, her papers were colorfully coded with her multitude of highlighters, and from the looks of it her laptop had a swarm of tabs opened.
Normally such chaos would unhinge a normal person but Wednesday found the quirks charming. More so that they were Enid’s.
“Enid,” The dark haired girl called out slowly, not wanting to startle the girl. “Wake lobita, if you fall asleep like that you will wake up with a sore neck.”
“Hmm?” The half asleep Enid responded.
Huffing out a small breath of humor Wednesday slowly rose from her chair, making her way to the blonde. She carefully put up the girl’s paperwork in their spots within her folders, gently pushing the girl back against the couch she grabbed the laptop and charger before placing those on the coffee table. Luckily they had the day off tomorrow for both classes and work so they were going to try to head to the library for a few more hours of studying.
“Wednes…” Enid whispered.
Turning towards the sound of her name, Wednesday saw her friend slumped back but her eyes had cracked open. “What time is it?”
“Around 11 now, apologies. I didn’t realize that it had gotten so late, with winter approaching the days have shortened significantly while night falls faster than we realize. I do not think it is wise to take you back to dorms so late, I would not want you to get in trouble with your RA again.” Wednesday finished,
“That’s probably a good idea, Janet can be such a pain when sneaking back into the dorms.”
“Not when you have a solid plan Sinclair, honestly the plans you and that glasses wearing leech come up with. No wonder you both get caught so often.” Wednesday smirked. She had unfortunately trusted Enid and Yoko when they were all sneaking back to the dorms to have a horror movie night (much to Enid’s dread) and they had gotten caught in no time flat.
“Aww come on Wednesday! That wasn’t so bad, besides that was mostly Yoko’s fault.” The blonde whined as she stood from her spot to stretch.
“Mostly being the keyword there. If I recall correctly your clumsiness is what caused all that ruckus alerting your RA to our presence.”
Whimpering, the taller girl made her way towards the shorter woman and draped herself over her. “Are you ever going to let that go?”
Grunting under the added weight, Wednesday half-heartedly pushed the blonde back. “Not until you can somehow return to me that hour of scolding we had to endure. That cut even more into my writing time because you insisted we had to finish the movie after all that.”
“But you enjoyed it!”
“Debatable, the bloodshed was mediocre at best. The story was too predictable, teenage lust will always be the characters’ downfall.”
“Aww but Tara and Chad were so cute together~.”
Scoffing the raven haired girl finally freed herself from her friend’s grasp, “They were alright. I can admire Chad’s protectiveness, it’s too bad Amber was killed, her and Tara could have been a very dangerous duo if they had written the two together. It’s quite romantic actually.” Wednesday smirked at the thought, killer girlfriends did sound like a great story.
“You mean writing them as part of the good guys right?” Enid questioned innocently.
Wednesday could only stare at the girl.
“... I should have known you were wanting a duo of killer girlfriends.”
“That is the only way to write good horror Enid.”
The pair finished organizing the living before heading towards Wednesday's room, each taking turns from brushing their teeth to changing into their sleepwear. Wednesday adorning a silk shirt and short matching black set, while Enid wore her Fall Out Boy tour t-shirt with white cotton shorts. Though the blonde had initially worn bright colored pjs first few times she had slept over, the next morning when the pair had awoken Wednesday had very minor reactions due to the close contact of the colors of Enid’s clothes.
Obviously the multi-colored girl had freaked out at the sight, apologizing profusely to the brown eyed girl. Although Wednesday had commented she had experienced worse, Enid did not seem too tempted to ask what worse was yet, but that did not stop the colorful girl from swapping her pjs for more neutral colors.
Wednesday appreciated the gesture so much that she had cleared out one of her dresser drawers for Enid’s clothing.
“If you are going to accommodate for my unfortunate allergy to color, the least I could do is make room for your items.”
Now when Enid had recounted to her friends about the incident Yoko couldn’t help but snort, “Wow, you just had to sleep in the same bed as Addams and she was ready to U-Haul you into her house.”
The double elbows into her sides from her girlfriend and her best friend were well worth it. Enid’s flushed face was just the extra red cherry on top.
Being pulled from the memory Enid saw Wednesday waiting for Thing by the bedroom door. He always had a habit of grooming himself before they turned in for the night. Wednesday didn’t understand the need but did not question her feline companion. He had always understood her strange habits so she was no one to pass judgement onto him, and to be totally honest Enid found the whole thing adorable.
Wednesday had seemed standoffish in the beginning to the blue eyed girl, her unique way of speaking and her unconventional habits were something Enid definitely had to get used to. But what was a surprisingly breath of fresh air about the girl was her honesty. Wednesday always prided herself with telling the truth. However blunt or burning it might be to others. Of finding it in its rawest form and presenting it for all to see. Whether that was a good or bad thing for some people, Enid found that side of Wednesday enchanting.
Finally the black and white tuxedo cat made his way into the room, rubbing himself against his owner’s legs with a loud purr. With softened eyes Wednesday crouched down to pet her furry friend. Thing’s appreciation is shown through the increased volume of his purrs, the pair enjoying their moment together.
Of course Enid was not about to let that moment be forgotten so easily, picking her phone off the nightstand she quickly opened her camera app and snapped a few photos of her favorite monochrome colored pair. Scrolling through the handful of photos Enid stopped on one. Although to others it would seem as Wednesday was always wearing a very emotionless expression, the blonde can see the cracks in the mask. The photo she stopped on showed that. The tenderness in the raven haired girl’s eyes as she gazed at her furry friend was unmistakable. Enid would dare even say that she caught a hint of a smile there. But due to the angle even if her lips were upturned it would be hard to tell. Not to Enid though.
A sudden meow from Thing startled Enid out of her trance. Wednesday had lifted the feline up into her arms and began to make her way towards her bed. Usually Thing would sleep in his own small bed near the girl’s but Wednesday knew her cat was feeling neglected with all the late nights she’s been coming home. She could tolerate giving him some extra attention and affection.
“Aww Thing, you always make the best snuggle buddy during these sleepovers!” Enid enthusiastically squealed. The two, even by Wednesday’s standards, had a weird bond. Thing being the solitude creature he’s always been had instantly gravitated towards the literal embodiment of sunshine that was Enid Sinclair. Oh how Wednesday understood.
“Yes, we’ll see what you say about that when he lays his body across your face again Enid.” Wednesday dryly remarked, setting the feline down on the bedding as reached next to her nightstand to retrieve her hair brush.
“That was one time Wednes.”
“Yes and once was enough to be woken up you to gasping for air in the middle of the night. It’s bad enough you growl in your sleep.” She trailed off while untying her braids.
And the gasp the blonde did, “Excuse you I do not growl!” Finally setting her phone down on the other side of the bed’s nightstand Enid sat down on the bed. Thing immediately sought her out by rubbing his body against her frame for a moment before jumping down to the floor.
“Growl, snore, it’s all the same. You’re loud even in your sleep lobita.” The raven haired girl smirked, her hair flowing freely past her shoulders.
The sight made Enid’s breath hitch, this girl.. was truly going to be the death of her.
Feeling her face burn at the sight in front of her she quickly turned her gaze away, muttering. “I’ve gotten better at not being loud.”
Wednesday’s smirk only grew, she slowly lifted her hand up to cup Enid’s face. Turning her gaze back to her own, “Now I didn’t say I minded you being loud Sinclair. It is part of your charm after all.”
Her already burning face now blazed at the close proximity, “Wednesday–”
And just then Enid heard the most beautiful sound in the world escape her friend’s mouth, the most carefree laugh that she had ever heard. Although her ear’s were blessed with this heavenly sound, but the sight before her no poet nor artist could ever capture the beauty in any of their practiced forms. The melting sight of brown eyes, the dimpled smile it was almost painful–
“Enid,” Wednesday whispered, “Eres tan dolorosamente bella.” And just as Enid was going to question the meaning behind those words Wednesday leaned in and kissed her.
Normally someone would describe moments like these as time stopping, or even compare the collision to fireworks going off but Enid felt a pull. The invisible force that was Wednesday Addams, pulling her more into her orbit. Before the blonde could get lost in the raven haired girl’s lips Wednesday pulled back, leaning her head against Enid’s.
“Enid, I–”
“Wednesday, whatever you’re going to say I need you to hold off on that for now.” Enid interrupted abruptly.
A confused look only crossed Wednesday’s face for all but a second before Enid pushed their lips back together. Taking advantage of the girl’s stunned surprise Enid pushed her onto her back, swinging her legs over her hips effectively pinning her down to the bed. After another moment the blonde broke them apart, leaning back slightly to gaze at her friend’s red dusted face.
“Wednesday… You have no clue how long I’ve been wanting to do that.” Enid breathed out.
The pinned girl’s eyes widened at the admission. “Could it be for as long as I’ve been craving to?” She confessed, propping herself up on her elbows.
Grinning, the blonde leaned in to brush her lips against shorter girl’s, “Do you want to find out now or later?”
The hand at the back of her head answered for itself but Wednesday still replied, “Later.” Before pulling Enid down into another kiss.

The Creature calling itself Viktor and following Viktor around is so much more tragic when you know how babies develop and how newborns don't yet realise they and their mothers are two separate people. And one of the first things babies realise about themselves is that they're a whole separate person. And one of the first things they do when they start developing as a person is find out they have hands and play with them and with textures and start exploring. And when they want to start talking, they put their hands and fingers on their parents lips and throats to figure out how that sound is coming out of there and then they start imitating. Guillermo Del Toro nailed every single step of human development in such a beautiful celebration of life.
And Viktor abused the crap out of the poor creature for not being smart enough when it was only following natural developmental milestones. Because, like most men, like his own father, he wanted to create life but he wasn't interested in raising it beyond that and instead wanted it to be born a doctor ready to show the world how smart Viktor is for creating a carbon copy of his brain except in a stronger immortal body. Elizabeth gave him five minutes of love and let him explore how sounds come out of her mouth and he started talking.
Idk why some people are complaining about the movie being different from the book when the essence is literally the same, Viktor created life as if it were a godly feat and not something women have been doing since the dawn of humanity, and then he abandoned that life as deadbeat dads do. And that abandonment is what created a monster out of an innocent souls who could have become a beautiful being had it been nurtured. That's literally what Mary Shelley wrote. She would have been proud of this story. On top of being an incredibly gorgeous visual story, the narrative is very loyal to the point Shelley wanted to make.

Question for writers of tumblr; does anyone know any alternatives of selling pieces of writing online?
I know people on Etsy sell writings/poems but are there any other alternatives to this? Maybe start a blog to have people hire you to writing letters to others? I’m trying to find a side hustle to make money without going into another mindless job. I love writing and I think I could make a small business of it. If anyone has any idea or recommendations I’d love to hear about it!
Breakdown and Theories about Wednesday Season 2 Trailer
First things first, WE HAVE A DATE!!! Wednesday (to no one’s surprise) has been a highly anticipated series that we’ve waited almost 3 years for. So before those dates come any closer I wanted to breakdown and analyze some scenes with some theories sprinkled in.
Now the way I’m trying to break this down is by trying to predict the chronological order of events. Now the most popular theory that most people have already jumped to which I totally agree to is that this scene takes place in the first / beginning stages of the season. Way before Wednesday goes back to Nevermore.
Which just the beginning of the season I feel is going to start things off with a bang. The crew is really put in the work to not only feed us but keep us in the dark about what is going to be happening. But there are hints. First off I think while yes are we are going to see Wednesday go back home and spend some time with her family I don’t think it’ll be for too long. I have a crazy theory it I know it’s a stretch because the only thing that connects it is something so small. Clothes.
I don’t think the scene where Wednesday is tied up takes place in the Addams mansion like many suspect. I truly believe it’s some place else. And it’s not Jericho either. Like I said this theory is a stretch but I’m reaching anyways. In these two different scenarios we see Wednesday sporting the same look. Black trench coat and a black button down. In the other scene where we see Wednesday sporting this look is at the airport, she’s definitely not heading somewhere close. At least not somewhere close where she can ask Lurch to drive her to. Or it might be she needs to get somewhere fast, faster than what can be driven via car.
And whatever happens in this place also connects to the following image.
Again yes I am going off of order by Wednesday’s outfit. In the previous season we really didn’t get to see Wednesday wear the same outfit twice that wasn’t her uniform, I would assume the same rule will apply to the next season. Regards if that rule changes I do have a theory surrounding this image.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that this might be the first time Wednesday experiences in a vision since Nevermore. I’ve shared this theory with others but let me explain. The last vision Wednesday had was discovering Tyler was the monster. Up until that point in the series we saw the physical aspects of experiencing a vision looked liked for Wednesday. While still unsure if her experience reflects what all psychics experience or if it’s what Ravens specifically experience we are probably seeing a shift in Wednesday’s abilities. And I truly believe it has something to do with Goody.
As I said I think this might be Wednesday’s first vision since Nevermore. But what changed from when Wednesday had her vision about Tyler and now? Goody Addams happened. I think merging with Wednesday to save her life affected her more than the writers let on. Goody was stated to be a witch of great strength, do we honestly think there will be no repercussions besides not seeing her ever again? We are still discovering the world of Wednesday, that includes the magic in it.
We could definitely be seeing those repercussions, or we could be seeing a development of Wednesday’s visions. Morticia told Wednesday that psychics are not trained by the living but the dead. Could these be physical consequences of an untrained psychic? Or is this the development of Wednesday’s powers becoming more potent?
I think my favorite theory so far that this is a consequence of Wednesday changing the outcome of a vision. So far Wednesday’s visions have always happened, the glimpses of the past or future happened as seen. Nothing changed, but what if it did? I saw many theories on tiktok and Twitter talking about this specific theory. It’d definitely be an interesting take and obstacle to tackle of what the writers already established about Wednesday’s visions and turned it on its head. It’d be thrilling and terrifying to see our girl experience that.
Anyways that’s one of the things I wanted to talk about the trailer. I did have another breakdown for the trailer but that is definitely a lot smaller than this. Haha please let me know what you think and share your own ideas!
Holy shit part of this theory was right 😭 even though technically this wasn’t her first vision the vision she did experience was different from the first one we see on screen. I literally can’t wait to see more.
