This is not a disease that can be passed from person to person. You have to come into direct contact with food or water (or, okay, bodily fluids/feces) contaminated with the parasite.

the mlp situation reminds me of how, after saban required power rangers, EVERY single project was meant to harken back to mmpr in some way, shape, or form, much like how every post g4 project ties back to g4

Honestly, that's a strong connection because Hasbro is notorious for being willfully ignorant regarding how to maintain the staying power of their IPs.

With MLP, they managed to catch lightning in a bottle with G4 and just... refused to look into what drew so many people to Friendship is Magic.

'Was it the writing? The depth of worldbuilding? The animation? ... No, it had to be the characters! Quick, keep regurgitating the characters based on their toy sales!!'

And I'm not over here saying 'ugh, how dare they prioritize toy sales' when Hasbro is, first and foremost, a toy and collectible company so of course any media they make is going to have toy/collectible sales as the main goal.

But, something something -- it's easier to sell toys off of a media property that is current, engaging to all ages, and competent than it is to just skate by on 'Member Berries -- something.

I uh....it was HASBRO who made it so everything had to harken back to MMPR when they acquired it, not Saban.

It was so bad that Toei decided to put Super Sentai into a fuckin' coma just so they wait out their contract with them.

I collect Transformers, and I'm seeing a lot of this. Everything is a G1 revival. I think they're on their fourth or fifth version of the 1980's characters now. If I have to see one more "new and improved update to classic G1 Optimus Prime," I'm going to scream.

Hasbro desperately needs new leadership.

The most mind-blowing moment, not only for De La Mata but the scientists too, came when they managed to actually record the sounds that she heard in her ears – which now appear as ‘Left Ear’ and ‘Right Ear’ which begin sides A and B on the album – and in doing so opened up questions about the nature of tinnitus itself. “The NHS definition is that it’s a phantom sound that your brain is creating, that it isn’t something ‘real’, so you should try to ignore it.” By having De La Mata place her ear into an anechoic chamber, with an ultra-sensitive microphone perched in her ear canal, they were able to provide significant evidence to the contrary. “After the first recording of it, it was ‘There’s no way, this isn’t possible.’” They tried again with her breath held, and again with her tensing her ears, and again with other members of staff, but each time it became apparent that yes, the noises De La Mata hears are seemingly something physical.

Twenty-one tons of potatoes are up for grabs at Potato Palooza on Monday.

The nonprofit’s set to receive a donation of 21 tons of tubers this weekend from suppliers in the Midwest. Hoping to get the starchy vegetables to people in need, the nonprofit will host a “Potato Palooza” event on Monday in Park Hill. “Anyone is welcome to come. They can bring tote bags, wagons, you could back up your pickup truck if you wanted to,” Hissong said. The event is 9 a.m. to noon at the Park Hill Food Recovery Hub, 6090 East 39th Avenue, on July 27.
