He could feel the pulse of of the magnetic field around the city. Feel the charge of electricity and power. Feel the others similar to him and their pull on this elemental force, but it was all wrong. This place was alien. The fields, while similar, felt like night and day to his touch. God must have brought him here for reason after Asteroid M self destructed.

She hovered in front of him, the toes of her boot a few feet off the ground. Carol's arms remained crossed over her chest as her face settled into a neutral state. Best to not start a mutant war, right? She'd done enough damage in space with the Skrull and Kree. The last thing she needed was another situation like that. "Look," her voice was firm. Loud enough to cross the distance towards him, but not yelling. "Atrocities, annihilation, indignities β we want to avoid them. My word may not mean much to you, but trust me on that one."
