âYou really shouldnât be mad.â
Okay, so, maybe Cindy was in the right. It was rational be mad that Saya had swooped in and killed ( a completely justified act in her mind ). It made sense to be upset that oneâs therapist was actually an Ishii as well, Sayaâs brother doing her a favor by double timing Cindy.
So, maybe, just maybe, it made sense for Silk to be upset. The only issue was that Saya didnât really care.
She had made her great escape after the IncidentTMÂ and laid low for a while until she was sure it wasnât going to blow back on her. Saya wasnât great at waiting. She wanted what she wanted when she wanted it. Call it privilege, but she was used to getting her way. It was after a month that she had reached out to Cindy. It was a harmless invitation. A come and have an apology glass of wine. No murder, no lies. Iâm sure you want to talk to me suggestive purr over the phone. And Cindy had taken the bait hook, line and sinker no matter how reluctant she was.
âI know I broke you little code, but weâre different people. And yes, I know the Max thing was probably devastating -- lot of his clients want to sleep with him -- but you dodged a bullet. Weâre both hot but Iâm the better sibling anyway. Youâll have to forgive me, Silk,â the alias was deployed with a smirk. âI think it runs in my blood. It had to be done.â
Very carefully pouring a glass of red wine, Saya extended one to Cindy before taking a measured sip of her own, careful not to spell on the black and wife sofa she was lounging on.
âIâm so glad you came.â
