     “Oh, incredibly scandalous.” The Mikaelson vampire agreed, quickly and easily. Though he was merely playing along, really. With a slow nod, he plastered a dire look upon his features. “But I would be very alright with that bit of scandal if you are.” He added, lips twitching. “Besides, you have gorgeous legs, Gia. And I’d very much appreciate the view.”

She might not be wearing a dress now but her jeans were certainly tight as a second skin. She turned a bit, stretching out one leg so that both the curve of her ass and thigh were towards him. She gave them a considering once over.

     Lips curving into a devilish smirk as she sighed, he chuckled a bit. Okay, so Elijah was being bratty. Could she really blame him? She brought it out in him a little. She was just so contrary at times that when she was being otherwise, it was him who had to give her a hard time. That was just how it was. He had decided. “Good.” He replied with a nod and another smirk. “A dress?” The original hummed softly. “That would be lovely, Gia.” Even his tone was teasing still. “Perhaps one that comes to above your knee.” Lips twitched as he reached out to touch her leg with gentle fingers, just where he was thinking.

Gia had seen him with the others, with Marcel and Josh, the other vampires. She knew this was a side to him that she saw and they didn’t. She liked goading him. Sometimes she didn’t even have to, it was like her mere presence could rile him up. She smiled wider, a slight shiver running up her spine as his fingers ran over her thigh. 

“Maybe,” she said, catching his hand and putting it back on the table. “We haven’t even gone on our first date yet,” she chided, smiling wider now. “And here I thought a thousand year old man would be more old fashioned about such things. Aren’t exposed ankles scandalous to you or...?” 

     A chuckle came from the Original’s lips as he shook his head. Technically it was true. Elijah did have a reputation to uphold. Still, her dry tone gave him cause to laugh a bit. “But of course, Gia. People expect a certain decency from me.” Humming for a moment, he looked at her. “On second thought, no. I’m going to reject you.”

     A smirk replacing amused lips, he closed the distance between them. “And then I’m going to wait precisely thirty seconds in silence, so that we give conversation a half and have time to segway into a new topic…” He placed a finger to her lips and help up his watch, waiting just long enough in quiet before smirking again. “Now that we’re onto something new - Gia, would you like to have dinner and drinks with me tonight?”

Gia’s eyebrow rose at his sudden turn around. Rejecting her? Really? Until she saw that smirk on his lips. And then she sighed, eyes rolling, head shaking a little before she flipped her hair over her shoulder and leaned in closer to him. 

She opened her mouth to argue with him, stopping short as his finger pressed gently to them. She sighed again, watching him with narrowed eyes. 

Elijah felt a sing of electricity run through his system whenever Gia would make a sound each time he moved his fingers in and out of her. He turned his head and kissed up the side of her neck, speeding up the thrusts, his thumb brushing along her clit as her hips moved up to meet him. He groaned when she sucked at his pulse and bit, his own body undulating, seeking some kind of friction to tide him over. But he’d hold off, his pleasure was the least of his concerns, even if his body was moving on its own accord. He groaned, nosing at her jaw line before his teeth slid down her neck, teasing her, not biting. His fingers sped up more, pressing in deeply.

He was singularly determined when it came to sex. She’d learned fast and early that if he intended to make her orgasm, he would. That he would push his own needs back, instead focusing on her.      She was right, technically. Elijah was slow moving, and the fact that he hadn’t already had the idea to ask her on a date was astounding to him. “Well… then I suppose the answer is yes. But should anyone ask, I asked you.” Elijah’s lips twitched. He was only teasing, though he was old fashioned. “Shall I plan something, then? Or did you have something particular in mind?

“Mmm of course. Wouldn’t want to ruin your reputation,” Gia replied dryly.

She had had anything in mind, really. She’d figured dinner and maybe she could convince him to go somewhere to dance. It had been a long time since she’d had fun and danced. But honestly, she liked how interested he seemed to be in this whole idea. She’d half expected he wouldn’t want to.

Gia smirked, a huff of laughter leaving her at his reaction. Maybe he should have been the one to ask. After all they’d done together and gone through together, one would assume they were somewhat beyond this point. And yet, a simple date? That they had never managed that.
