argh, i’m starting school again tomorrow and i haven’t had time to do any research or work on theories this weekend. i wasted half my holidays doing nothing. 🫩

Neil loves sitting on the washing machine, watching Andrew whenever he decides it’s time for another haircut. Andrew always does it shirtless, and from where Neil sits, he has the perfect view of the muscles shifting beneath Andrew’s skin—the way his back flexes with every movement, the way his biceps tighten whenever he lifts an arm to trim the back of his head. “Can I kiss you when you’re done?” Neil asks one day, unable to keep the question to himself. a quiet, approving “Mm-hm,” is all Andrew gives him. the moment Andrew finishes, Neil keeps his promise, he slips his arms around Andrew’s waist, drawing him in between his knees before immediately threading his fingers through Andrew’s freshly cut hair, before leaning in to kiss him without another word. “Don't you want to cut them too?” Andrew murmurs against Neil’s lips. one hand absently twirls one of Neil’s now-grown curls around his finger while the other settles firmly on Neil’s thigh. Neil only grunts in quiet denial. “You like them too, don’t you?” a barely noticeable smile tugs at his lips as he gently closes Andrew’s hand around his curls, encouraging him to hold on just a little tighter. Andrew genuinely tries to ignore the deliberately challenging look in Neil’s blue eyes. he fails every time. his fingers tighten instinctively in Neil’s hair as he draws him closer by the nape of his neck, meeting him with another long, lingering kiss that will turn into another twenty minutes in the bathroom.
