I think my worst writing habit is that I do not explain things. Like I don't show OR tell. Sometimes I'll look at old writing and a character will react or operate on information I left in my head and didn't put in the text, and I understand what it was because I can extrapolate what past me was thinking when I wrote it with some difficulty due to the time that has passed, but it's unclear whether someone who isn't me could. This is probably what people ask beta readers to help with, but that would require me to reach out for social interaction and break my perception of myself as an island that writes for myself so hard that I just post it into the aether and need no feedback

I want some aspects of the void Lace fic to have an in-story explanation but some things are both necessary contrivances for the story and funnier if they don't, such as "the Void can get Drunk"
