finished my second r.a.d. playthrough and its kinda funny to me how much the game cucks souya. he only comes in halfway into the story, has his little arc, gets a throwaway role in ep41, then completely disappears for 10 episodes (longer if you're playing as a guy) until he just randomly appears again only to spend the rest of the game just. standing there. doing nothing. he only gets a single-word line when the final boss goes down.

then his epilogue scene. unless you get his epilogue scene he is just completely ignored, even as yui. and then to get him in the epilogue, you need to:

play as yui

destroy every building nanao holds dear

conversely, protect mhi with your life

refuse to save anyone not simply saved by defeating the volgara (aka dodging nanao in ep16 and not touching the bus in ep23)

go out of your way to get on ellen's nerves in ep22

all of that and he still manages to be a tinge insufferable when he does show up so why would anyone even want do any of that. crazy.
