Finished my first pinned and framed butterfly today

This little whippet was unfortunately stillborn. However he is able to live on after death as a wet specimen. He has been names Wasiim and is one of the more recent additions to my personal collection.

I find his nose and little toe beans simply adorable 🥺

oh man, i don’t think i’ve ever seen someone make a stillborn dog a wet specimen before! i haven’t even thought of that before but i guess i don’t think about taxidermy a whole ton

I actually have a number of wet specimen stillborn and foetal animals, it's probably the best way to preserve such young animals I'd say; their bones are a challenge and a half to clean and I find that traditional taxidermy njust never quite manages to catch baby faces quite right

She's definitely not perfect but this sweet little border collie is finally glued back together. She is missing some bones but I'm rather happy with her!

I rather like the shape of the beak on this Asian green bee eater. This skill was salvaged from a very tatty old mount so definitely isn't perfect, but I think he cleaned up well enough! This lad has already sold but I've a number of other Skulls and things available on my website

How sweet is this little red fox skull? It was a nature find, who has since been further cleaned and whitened so does unfortunately have damage, missing teeth and no mandibles. But really that just adds character to it...
