An Introduction of Sorts
You can call me Zombie. I'm repurposing this old blog in order to keep things separate from my fandom account and for my own mental health.
I am Mostly a man, though I am fluid between agender and male, and most days lay somewhere in between (demiboy) and consider myself a nonbinary man. My pronouns are he/it, though I'm fine with any sets other than she/her. I was raised a girl and to my knowledge I'm perisex.
I am pre everything but still occasionally manage to pass as male. I will likely never be able to afford the gender affirmations I actually want even if I'm able to find a surgeon willing to operate on a fat man and I've learned to be ok with that.
Definitions As I Understand Them
A lot of discourse stems from misunderstandings. These are the words I use and how I use them as well as a few of my strongly held opinions.
Transmisogyny: the intersection between transphobia and misogyny as it effects trans women and transfeminine people.
Transandrophobia: the ways the hatred and distrust of masculinity negatively affect trans men and transmasculine people. Some people also use it to describe the intersection of transphobia and misogyny as it effects trans men and transmasculine people and while I do not I may reblog from people who use it in this way and use the tag for reach.
Transfeminism: a feminist movement centering trans women and with a focus on the rights of trans people in general.
TMA/Transmisogyny Affected: the intended targets of transmisogyny, trans women and transfeminine people.
TME/Transmisogyny exempt: not the intended targets of transmisogyny, though very few people are truly exempt from targeted transmisogyny by way of racism and old fashioned sexism (ex. the transvestigations of Michelle Obama and Lady Gaga circa 2010)
TMA/TME is a useful framework for speaking about systems and legislation but falls short in person to person conversation. Nonbinary and intersex experiences are often outside these labels.
Kink and sexuality really doesn't have a bearing on conversations about trans rights. As long as all participants are consenting adults and it remains in private or clearly marked areas it is no one's business what they get up to.
Everyone is capable of bigotry in any direction and is responsible for unlearning biases and breaking down societal systems of oppression.
