Another little moodboard to pass the time! I’m getting excited for April’s #nanowrimo, and I’ve got more details about the story I’ll be working on for it coming soon. Little #amquerying updates: I caved and purchased QueryTracker Premium, and I’ve spent a sheepishly large amount of time perusing the timelines. It’s been super cool to see my query’s position in agent piles! It’s also pretty nerve-wracking, though. My query is next in line for quite a few agents, so I anticipate a busy inbox this coming week!! I went to a permafrost exhibit and it was phenomenal!!! I got to smell permafrost and touch a fossil that was preserved in the last Ice Age’s permafrost!! I took so many notes (I can’t help it; it’s the writer in me) and had an absolute blast. Breakfast today! Querying is going well so far! I’ve got a ton of partials out, and one full. No work back on any of the queries I sent to dream agents/the referrals/etc, so we’ve still got a long road ahead of us. But I’m staying hopeful and I’m excited to see how this journey unfolds. I’m obsessed with this new cup I got for my birthday yesterday!! If you can’t read it, it says “Buy me books & tell me I’m pretty.” I love it so much!!! Querying is going well so far! I’m trying a different method than what I did for Phoenix so hopefully this one works better. At the time I really did think batch querying was the way to go, but I recognize now that it really drew the process out to a point where it was unrealistic to continue. With response times being so widely delayed right now I was really only inconveniencing myself. Me and my friend Raluca made moodboards for the three main characters in my wip! Starting off with Magdalene, the protagonist. I love her character so much!!! Mine is incredibly large so I split it up into two halves (the first two pictures). And Ral’s is the second one (the third picture). Which is your favorite?? Revisions are going well! Visiting some ‘old friends’ and hearing about their stories was a blast! My paternal grandparents were back in town briefly, so I was able to pay them a visit and hear more about their bear stories. I took pages of notes and will hopefully be able to include some of what I gleaned in my writing! When I was a kid I used to lay sprawled on that black bear. It was the biggest thing ever to me back when I was small. Now, it’s surprising to look back and see how tiny it really is. I’m halfway done with my revisions! I’ve also got a killer query drafted up, a synopsis, and I finally started building up my list of agents to query with this particular project.
