There is a great instagram called Brown Skin Matters that has certified photos of different rashes and skin conditions. I find this VERY helpful. I just recently stumbled on it and it’s a nice, quick, resource. 

This is what they mean when they say we’re killing people of color. Our healthcare system caters to white skin. And it needs to change.

I love people with obscure knowledge or useless academic insights. I want to hear your analysis of lighting in Ratatouille. Tell me about the history of soda pop or the references to classical mythology in Macbeth. I want to know about the underlying homoerotic context of that 1930s sci-fi paperback. I think all knowledge is worthwhile knowledge. Explain to me the ecosystems that komodo dragons inhabit. Don't be afraid to learn for the sake of learning.

Becoming a positive person does not mean never experiencing negative emotions. It means learning to cope with them in a healthy way and being able to recognize that those feelings are temporary. Please don’t ever be upset with yourself for feeling.

i love having secrets for no reason that arent scandalous or sensitive…like going to cvs but refusing to tell anyone at all abt it bc i decide that information is just for me bc i feel like it

whatever you’re yearning for, it’s nice, but you can be happy while waiting for it too. you have a lot of lovely things in your life now, don’t forget to live in the moment and cherish it while it’s here. make every day a nice, worthwhile one…you don’t have to wait for the big moments to feel good about things.
