I want to make a master post of all Shane's autistic moments from episode 6:
Not halving the 8 burger recipe
The inability to look into Yunas eyes during their 1/1
His meltdown after his dad caught Ilya and him kissing
His shut-down at the table when Yuna is overwhelming him with the future
His 'I have my own well'
How Shane couldn't sleep until after he mapped out a logical plan for their future
How he couldn't not wake Ilya up to share that information
Shane's 'your cold' after Ilyas 'gimme kiss'
The way Shane responds to ilyas car judgement by listing how the car is a logical and appropriate choice for the climate
The way Shane asks if Ilya not talking to his brother is good or bad
Shane still living in exactly the same neighbourhood as his parents
Shanes parents being his best friends, in the way that he still maintains much of their parent child dynamic
How distressed Shane was about lying to his parents vs being rejected for his sexuality
Being extremely pissed off during most of Ilya’s “I have this problem” speech cause he doesn’t understand it until it’s abundantly clear - @scounging
Shane asking Ilya if his silent retreat story sounds fake
Shane's relestate obsession
When Ilya asks Shane about his parents and Shane responds with "what do you want to know?" and Ilya has to keep prompting Shane
Shanes perfect bird mimicry
Ilya: "how's the water?" Shane: "you're in it"
Shane putting his thumb in ilyas mouth bc he loves it when ilya does it to him so ofc he has to do it back @jesuisnilunnilautreshane
When they are kicking around the soccer ball, some furniture gets knocked out of place and Shane stops to move it back @dry-yellow-marker
Shane taking David's "and there were no nice men in Montreal?" question literally
The way Shane put so much emphasis on properly informing Ilya about the new space, settling him in, and making sure he felt safe e.g., do you want a tour, I have Coke but the water is also good, pausing the makeout - do you want to be in the bedroom, closing the blinds, etc @greenlaut
He does lots of tactile stim like behaviours e.g., pulling at his clothes, rubbing his fingers together, hooking his fingers in his pockets, and needing to have a point of contact with Ilya. @thirtysevenodddogs
Obviously, not all the behaviours are exclusive to autistic people. But, the way Shane executes all these things is most certainly austisic.
