Help

So tomorrow night I’m suppose to see a movie with my friends that I’ve already seen but wanted to see again. The first time I saw the movie I went in blind and it was completely traumatic for me because it hit too close to home (family mental health, sudden death, parent-child relationships, etc.). It was totally my idea to go, as I really thought it was a good movie, but I decided it may be best for my mental health to skip. We all have already bought our tickets and I’m really embarrassed to tell them I changed my mind. I don’t want them to think I’m scared or a weenie but a lot of my friends don’t understand my ptsd from my dads death that gets triggered by those things. I’ve been up thinking about it all night about how scared I am to seem vulnerable to them and weak. I feel like there’s no way around this without saying the truth bc I’ve seen it before. I know this seems silly but my anxiety is taking over for something so stupid and I felt like maybe I should let it out.
