‘pretty privilege’ 101 🛁🎀

alright you all have been asking for this so here ya go. this is my take on how to live in your pretty. (i just don’t like the notion that pretty is everything. also it gets dangerous when you take into account certain harmful, discriminatory, and divisive beauty standards. so take all this with a grain of salt.)

stop being so stuck on ‘pretty.’ i understand the world we live in and obviously being pretty is an aspiration to many but you look desperate, lame, insecure, and worse when you’re so consumed with how to be pretty. let alone pretty privilege. everything isn’t about that so don’t act desperate.

now actually be pretty. take care of yourself. make and stick to your maintenance routines!

learn natural vs artificial beauty and utilize both. actively treat your skin with intention but also practice your makeup.

invest heavy time into your self development. be it school, a cert, a passion. it’ll make you feel good and boost the confidence you need.

build and honor your body. however you want it. align your activity and diet to your goals. don’t pump your vessel full of bull shit.

don’t be nasty. truly. like as a fellow bitch i love a good bitchy persona. but when you are arrogant and showman, people can’t see your beauty so it needs to be dialed back. be a pretty person on the inside.

learn your features. this is what the beauty binder is for. i started maramaxxing and to me this simply meant aligning what i want with what i’ve got (hence the use of my name). and it truly has changed me for the better. work with what you’ve already have.

i cannot stress how important it is to have your own sense of fashion. you need your own aesthetic. i’m not saying everything has to be artificially pieced together but curation can really create a brand. and this creates a sense of allure and can truly speak for you.

signatures are such a pretty amplifier. a lot of people hear the word ‘signature’ and think you need to stick one thing. no. it’s literally whatever you decide. it gives you a sense of polish and perfection.
