Travel Thursday
Today is what I call Travel Thursday. Tuesday is also dedicated to obsessing over places I’d love to visit but that is not today (BTS reference).
One of the first places I always wanted to visit is Norway. The landscape, the Northern lights, and the gorgeous waterways were what initially drew me in, even before I knew its many cities. Norway gave off a peaceful vibe to me at the time I first discovered it. I’m an absolute sucker for scenic views, specifically those with the sky and large bodies of water, so you can imagine the appeal. Then over time, as I researched more about the beautiful country I saw there was a lot more to offer in such a large and culturally filled place. I dreamt of seeing the northern lights, walking through fields of flowers, hiking to unknown regions and going on railway journeys, never with anyone else, just me in that beautiful country.
I still think about the way I completely romanticized this place without stepping a foot on its soil. Dreams have a way of doing that. Norway is still a top spot for me to visit but instead of directing an imaginary full indie movie about self-discovery while there. I’d be grateful to see its beauty, to meet the people and to learn whatever I can about their history.
