Now fandom losers use it as a pejorative for people who don't share the opinion that fiction exists in a vacuum completely seperate from real life and pretend it's actually about censorship & puritanism (which a wide majority of people described as "antis" don't actually call for but you know). Like its weird that "fandom Olds don't teach fandom newcomers about etiquette" is right next to the option about "antis" when being "anti" anything in general in its original context was a pretty normal thing in fandom like in the early mid 2000s. Being "anti" ships for racism/pedophilia/homophobia/etc earns you a "uptight pro-censorship puritan" label when back then that would've been understood as just, a regular occurring option. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying fandom was once amazing & beautiful & puppies & rainbows because that's not true. There's always been bigotry of some kind (thus why I think its stupid there's no option for that here) looming over fandom, but haterism was also an accepted part of it that now fandom ppl kind of think you're just a big meanie if you dislike any part of fandom or the media for any reason.
