Getting to say "I told you so" isn't much of a win when nobody learns from it. The left firmly believes in big government. They're just waiting to get their people back in power. The MAGA crowd thinks their guy is doing God's work. When the left gets back in power they'll be pseudo-libertarians again until their people get back in power. That just leaves the right who are disillusioned by Trump. Whichever ones haven't taken the black pill are going to bide their time until they can get a different republican into power.

Not that I disagree that sometimes it can certainly feel like a hollow victory, but - Baby steps.
