I'm not interested in the politics of the validity of identity labels, I'm only interested in labels in their capacity to describe our positionality within hierarchies of power and oppression. Lesbian identity describes specific gender relations within our established patriarchy, and part of those gender relations is as women or women-adjacent people who do not willingly form sexual or romantic relationships with men outside of sex work or other similar survival needs.

which is a reason it's been hard for me to take restoartive justice seriously because most talk about it on here and other lefist spaces is specifically in defense of defending rapists, abusers and pedophilies with no care for their victims. not only is there no care for their victims, but there is a belief that their victims are liars. the leftists/commies on here who talk about restorative justice do so in a way where they act like the justice system doesn't already award and protect abusers, rapists and pedophillies. many of them get let off for good behavior, or are just not properly prosecuted and then end up harming their victims and more people.
i remember i dead ass had someone tell me that restoartive justice isn't 'about victims'. and like well it needs to be about the victims because unless you have a logical way to discuss how victims are statistically killed when their abusers are released, then this conversation isn't going anywhere.
no where in many of these restoartive justice talks is there discussion about resources and safe spaces for the victims. in fact, again most restorative justice convos akin victims to having some type of privilege. it's insane and gross.
There is a subset of people who talk about restorative justice in that way, but they are severely misrepresenting what it's actually about (actual productive justice for victims AND perpetrators, prioritizing the victim of harm + measures to prevent future harm), for the sake of an agenda. They don't deserve to get away with it because restorative justice, the real politics of it, are the opposite of what those people paint it as and has chances to address effectively the many short comings of how the justice systems of pretty much every country function.
We're in the fascist tradwife, stay-at-home girlfriend, revoked abortion access apocalypse, and people who otherwise are sensible still refuse to admit that most likely means an exacerbated violent hatred for women who just point blank will not voluntarily partner up with a man.
AND a lesbophobe. Some lesbians are transmasculine, some transmasculine people are lesbians. But most lesbians aren't, and considering transfem lesbians are such an important, invisibilized and vulnerable part of our community, equating lesbophobia to the transphobia trans men and other transmasculine individuals face? It's just parasitic rhetoric.
Somehow ALL forms of oppression transmascs also face them, alongside the actual targets of the bigotry being addressed. This is usurping actual time and space to discuss the specific position of lesbians within patriarchy, (in terms that patriarchy can understand) as women and "women" (regarding non-binary and transmasc lesbians) who refuse men within a system that demands every woman ends up playing free bangmaid, mother, nurse, therapist and punching bag for whichever random man claims her first, and that refusal is met with violence both at micro and macro levels.
Trans men and non-lesbian transmascs DO face genuine horrific oppression and violence. You all don't even need to constantly pull this sort of behavior that does nothing but degendering yourselves, and throwing in this case both lesbians and transfems under the bus, without even addressing your actual DIRE issues.

I will never be able to fully express how being a lesbian is not considered cool and sexy to average people, who aren't terminally online.
