One-brush art study based on a photo reference (P. Faraone/Getty).

This is work in progress and my holidays are finishing in a few hours so wanted to share in case I never touch my iPad ever again.

Every now and then I accept that I’ll never draw anything ever again. Then another queer 'hag show' turns up and I am, regrettably, quite inspired.

If I finish, this is part one of two. My iPad keeps self-sabotaging and I'm unable to flesh out what is in my head on just one canvas...

I wasn't going to draw another Minthara but Baldurs Mouth did something and here we are.

Minthara is everything, as usual.

I don't have much to give these days. Apart from some clowning.

Next WIP, amongst many many others I'm fighting with/for/against.

Sometimes I wonder if being human, living through an invisible Great Corpo Depression while running on caffeine and whatever dopamine we can squeeze from the arts, is really how our final design was intended.

I wouldn’t cope without music. I’ve just started watching Peaky Blinders (does anyone else keep confusing them with Perky Blenders, the coffee chain?) and it’s basically an unofficial PJ Harvey/Nick Cave live gig, while the camera work is reminiscent of a music video at times. Love it.

Anyway, here’s a drawing of one of my favourite artist, Anna Calvi. That moment on stage when light and sound blur together still gets me every time. 💜
