I wish we had more femme lesbian rep

I’m currently reading A Treachery Of Swans. As a French person, I’m a bit confused about Marie d’Odette d’Auvigny’s name because ‘Odette’ is her family’s name, which is why there’s a « D’ » particle in front of it to indicate that this is a noble family. I thought the « d’Auvigny » (« of Auvigny ») simply indicated that she came from Auvigny. But the other characters call her « Mademoiselle d’Auvigny » (they use it as a family name). 🤔 So I guess I’ll just call her « Marie-Odette (first name) d’Auvigny (last name) ».
