Salem was bored out of her wits, most of the fraternity boys were out of the house for end of the year parties or whatever it was they did when they were away. And the girls? She couldnāt care less about. They werenāt as fun to play with. Sitting upon the counter top in the kitchen with her fingers dipped into a container of chocolate cake frosting, the petite psychopath dug up a clump of the sweet treat and stuck it into her mouth just on time for another to appear in the kitchen.Ā
Sucking the chocolate off of her fingers, she passed him a silly grin as if to feign embarrassment. She may have been annoyed at first, but after getting a good look at him ā- he was kinda cute. āI didnāt think anyone would, uh⦠I mean itās been so quiet, I thought Iād have the place to myself.ā She said with a slight laugh, mouth still breaking down bits of frosting.
For a brief moment, Danny allowed his shoulders to relax. He was in his safe haven, what could possibly go wrong?Ā
That was when the voice broke through his illusion. Ever since the night he had been drugged and murdered, the boy had an increased wariness of females. Especially those he didnāt know.Ā
Eyeing the girl, Danny took note of the frosting can at her side.Ā
What did I want to do again?Ā
Spending so much time being high really had taken a toll on the ghostās ability to recall anything minor. It was growing into a real problem thatās for sure.Ā
āItās...itās okay. The house has been pretty quiet lately.ā Ā
Danny attempted being nonchalant; however, when he stuttered everything else in the sentence fell apart as well. Biting his lip, the boy moved to the refrigerator and pretended to take interest in the contents inside.Ā
