I recently welcomed a new bundle of joy into my life as an infant family member was placed into my custody.

She’s a week from being four months and while the state will be helping us with monthly payments and WIC, because she’s only been in my custody for a short period of time it’ll be at least a week before I can use those services. It was also unexpected - I didn’t know she was born and even after they contacted me, it was a ping ponging situation. Then they’re asking if we’re available for placement within a week.

Suffice to say, we didn’t have a lot of time and resources to fully prepare. We have formula and diapers but they’re running low and I’d rather she not run out before I can use those services to help pay for her needs.

If you could send a few bucks so we can re-up our supply before her WIC appointment next week, that would be much appreciated. We are a queer multiracial couple and first time parents.

The whole world has forgotten us in Gaza.

My mother’s condition is getting worse, and with every passing day I feel more terrified that I may lose her before we can save her.

Her enlarged thyroid is making breathing difficult, and even simple moments now seem exhausting and painful for her.

The doctors told us she urgently needs treatment and surgery, but we are standing helpless in front of costs we cannot manage.

I try to stay strong, but inside me there is only fear.

Please, do not let me watch my mother slip away while I can do nothing.

Due to the limiting of medical supplies, the break down of Gaza's health system, and Israel's repeated closings of the crossings, many ill and disabled Palestinians are struggling to maintain their health.

Hamza's family is currently fighting the effects of malnutrition and chronic illness due to limited food and a lack of medical care. Food and medicine are both extremely expensive in the strip, and any amount of sharing or donation will help! Thank you!
