amavi and bryce have had this little arrangement for a while, how bryce could come over at any time and release all that pent up tension. “hmm?’ amavi smiled coming up closer to bring their lips together. “i’m sore, and i feel like i’m a daycare,” he teased laughing slightly. “all in all i’m great, how bout you babe?” mavi asked as he caressed their cheek.

bryce accepted the kiss, cracking a smile as he did so. they were so glad that amavi was back; they were such a comfort in his life. but he knew that things were far from the way they used to be. “alright,” he replied, not quite convinced but aware of how shitty it felt to be pitied. they didn’t want to pity their friend, but it probably came across like that. “i’m okay. just the usual. hate to sound like a middle-aged suburban mom, but i cooked for this book club i’m in yesterday.”

“Who did what now?” Right then and there, mama bear came out seeing their upset, praying no ignorant ( hateful ) remarks were thrown his way before nor after the mix-up. Concern eyes watched over them only to hesitate at his olive branch. She had been just about ready to kick someone’s door down to back them up, but if he looked for a distraction, that’s just what they’ll get. For Bryce to want to go out with her on the first day of pride month in the first place? Well, it was sweet. “Claro, yes, you name it, and we’ll go.” Yet she starts to head to her kitchen. “But first, how do you feel about cupcakes?”

Mia’s completely earnest reaction made Bryce feel a little embarrassed. “It’s just a joke.” He explained, “Well, that really did happen, but I’m not devastated about it or whatever. It was an innocent mistake, but I thought it was funny.” They smiled fondly at Mia. Although his aunt and cousins at Tripp’s Trailer Park felt more than enough for him, having a new addition to his family in Roswell made him feel so grateful. “I love cupcakes! Where do you want to go?”

“well, sure, ‘cause you asked. i’m gonna exclude my aunt and cousins who live with me, too, ‘cause i know that’s kind of cheating. alright.

“four of my favorite people in roswell: mia ( @marinera-stella ), of course. she’s my literal cousin. even though we found out like yesterday, she’s always felt like family. christine ( @namfm ), because she wrote one of my favorite novels ever, and you could say i’ve got a bit of a crush on her. amavi ( @ofamavis ) is a good friend of mine. selena ( @medihc ) is fun to hang out with.

“four of my least favorite... well, i like to have peace in my life. but i guess gunner ( @nfldunn ) has a spot in that list. ( i don’t hate him, though. not really. ) i also think andrea ( @wastclands ) has a spot there. you know, i may as well just start naming my exes. rollo ( @rollo-in-the-wild ) is great, but always awkward to bump into. then, i don’t know... i know you asked for four, but like i said, i prefer peace. not conflict.”

            a number penned on a dirty napkin was more than enough to pique adiya’s interest,  a mini backpack is strapped around her shoulders as she enters the cafe;  only deciding to scan her surroundings   AFTER   she puts in her order at the counter.     the two had opposing personalities so far but nothing detrimental.   adiya was an abrasive force of nature,  lacking poeticism:   bryce,   on the other hand,  seemed to have a better head on their shoulder,    or,  at the very least, had more than half of a brain.       “  bryce ?  ”     more of an accusation than a question as she saunters over,   setting her backpack on the back of the chair she claimed.    “ hot damn   your bods more   GREEK GOD   than i imagined,  congrats.  ”     her arms reach out as she took a step closer,           “  bring it in.  come on,   i’m a hugger.  ”

gunner swallowed slightly, knowing that the only time he’d ever had the fast food was when bryce brought it to him - but he nodded his head, acknowledging that he remembered. “yeah, okay,” he reached up and rubbed the back of his neck, head cocking to the side just a touch as he did. “seven hours isn’t so bad. i think we can make that work, right?” he’s challenging the other and he knows it - daring bryce to tell him they’d rather he didn’t come, or whatever, because while he liked to think they’d put the past behind them, he knew that they really hadn’t, if only because they really didn’t talk. it wasn’t like they were friends - even if he wanted to be. “i could always charter a plane. you know, if seven hours is too long for you.” was that a subtle flex? a desire to hope his ex found at least something about him still impressive? he didn’t really know - when it came to bryce, gunner had a tendency to speak without knowing why he was saying what he was saying.

Suraj thought for a moment, then shrugged. “Uhm, part of the job was to make people look… uhm, unrecognisable, or at least not… faces right in the frame, but still show they’re having fun, I’m still not sure how I’m going to do that, but I will tell them when I show the pictures,”  they suggested. “I think it’s just for facebook or something.” Luckily, they only had to do the actual artistic part, not the other parts. They nodded, though none of that had even hint their brain, but at the offer of meeting some of the performers - and since they figured that would be amazing for the video - they nodded expressively. “Oh yes, that would be great!”

“Oh, shit.” Bryce peeked into the club and realized... “They’re busy right now, doing an event.” His friends were on stage, and they assumed these were work hours for them. “I guess you can take pictures of me, then.” He confessed, “I’m a little nervous. What kinds of shots are you looking for?”

‘I think I’m comfortable on the sidelines.       I try very hard not to be seen,   yeah?’    A curl of her bottom lip as she catches it between her teeth,   an expression of uncertainty and a mild display of absentminded fear.       There is nothing wrong,   of course,   with wanting to be witnessed   —    to strut like a peacock and parade oneself’s identity around with the true pride of a warrior.    Selena,   however,    longed to be blurred.    She wanted her sharp edges to be smudged beyond recognition.    It was difficult to hear Bryce amid the club’s soundtrack’s bass drop and the vibrations in her lungs that went along with it,    but still,   she shouts her continued response to them.    ‘You look beautiful.    Everyone’s eyes are on you.’

“i don’t know if they’re touchscreen, but they definitely operate using a more fancy system. you can actually make out the little tamagotchi creatures; at least, that’s what i’ve been hearing anyway.” truth be told, maverick had nearly bought one of the little virtual beings a few weeks ago, but after reminding himself that he was nearly in his mid-thirties, he’d had some second thoughts. “you make a good point with that one. then again, i think it’s just a tactic to get more money out of people, and it clearly works. hell, even i’m the victim to some in-app purchases every now and again. i blame impulse control issues.”

ADIYA: What is with everyone being so prudish with who or what has been inside of them nowadays?

ADIYA: You know back in the biblical era people would walk around completely naked without knowing each other's names, only the color of each other's bushes. I think. I don't know I haven't read it.

ADIYA: I'm Adiya Aavani-Marie Kaur. 25 (so i pass), Scorpio, highest wii fit score out of all of my immediate family. I used to have a lisp but with some bullying from my peers in elementary school and a speech therapist, my shit got corrected. Skype? Facebook Messenger? Yeah you're definitely 32.

BRYCE: I can say with confidence that that's not how stuff goes in the Bible. But everything I know about that book, I learned against my will, being a member of the alphabet community who studied at a Catholic school.

ADIYA: I don't watch Drag Race as much as I should but I would murder ten men if it means I could meet Adore Delano.

ADIYA: You can't just give me "I'm a bartender and a drag queen" without showing me your drag looks, I thought we were being open and honest with each other here. Also I SO want to see you attempt that dance and I promise I won't make too make fun if it's bad.

ADIYA: None at all? Wink, wink. I'm sure.. Wink.

BRYCE: You do realize we don't know each other, right? I'm definitely not comfortable with the idea of talking about anything sexual with someone who might be under the age of 18.

BRYCE: Hell, I'm not even eager to talk about any sexual stuff with people under the age of 25.

BRYCE: Who are you? I might show you what you're looking for if we get to know each other first.

aoife tried not to wince at the mention of kids. it wasn’t that she disliked them per se, but she had never felt any kind of strong feelings with regards to having children of her own. as such, she never really knew what to say in these situations. “ maybe a cat, puppies are a lot. i have a snake and even she can be high maintenance sometimes. don’t tamagochis die anyway, have you considered nintendogs ?? ”

his back straightened almost imperceptibly when he noticed bryce approaching, though he did a decent job at covering the shock. though the other’s presence was something he could hide, the shock of hearing that their family wanted to see one - maybe it was because he didn’t really have a family of his own, but he could already feel the red hue overtaking his cheek, even if he did his best to pretend that it wasn’t happening. “well, i can’t disappoint her,” he offered, hand coming up to muss the back of his hair nervously. he hears the echo of a publicist yelling at him for messing up his hair, but the great thing about stepping out of the spotlight is that he doesn’t have to worry about that anymore. “which restaurant? what does she want for her birthday?”
