lilah abrams has always been in the spotlight, but she doesn’t particularly like it
the mother of a well-off couple, she was thrown into the world of theater at the ripe old age of three, playing the smallest of roles at the time
but being around people in productions is what started to shape her likes and interests; she didn’t know anything else, and she liked being around other stage actors
but because most of them were older than her, lilah always acted older than she was
by the time she was in elementary school, she was landing more and more important roles in the productions, becoming somewhat of a local star
she was just seven years old when she booked her first major acting role, becoming a series regular on the show that lasted for ten seasons
lilah’s parents began homeschooling her so she would have more time to work, never once stopping to realize how that may affect her for the rest of her life
lilah had herself convinced that she was living the dream, but whenever she saw a group of girls her age having the time of their lives, she wondered if she really had it all
her parents had her convinced that things were better the way they were; she was barely a teenager and was already more successful than people twice her age, and wanting silly things like a social life was just a waste of time
and so she continued on, booking role after role and becoming more well-known as she got older
soon enough the empty feeling faded away, shoving itself in the back of her mind and allowing her to focus on her career
but by the time lilah was twenty, she had fallen into bad habits as a way of coping, and it was nearly the end of her career
her parents forced her to take a few years away from acting, keeping her at home and out of the spotlight as a way to help her heal
those few years saw lilah experiencing a lot of things for the first time; for once in her life she’d been able to make a few friends, and she could go to the grocery store without being completely hounded by paparazzi
it was like she’d been granted a temporary retirement, and she loved it
but lilah had too much talent, and when a new role popped up, she was urged by her agent and her parents to take it
this would be the perfect way to break out into the spotlight, and while she didn’t want to, she still showed up to the audition
she’d half-hoped that she wouldn’t book the role, but when the call came through, lilah had to pretend that it was everything she wanted
despite being back to work, lilah still tries to keep to herself more often than not; she doesn’t try to make new friends, and she’s made it a point to try and stay in her trailer whenever she has an ounce of freetime
on the outside, she is very unapproachable, and most people assume she’s quite bitchy, but that couldn’t be further from the truth

rory liked to make sure that she had gone over her lines a few times in her head for memorization. but she also didn't like to overpractice too much to where her acting would be planned out in her head. it wouldn't of came off as natural to the viewers and she was sure she would get that as a note from the director. it had happened a few times before. but since filming was set to start soon, she was curious to know who was working with her today. " you don't happen to be in the first scene that you're shooting with me, right? i thought maybe we could run lines together. see how we want for it to play out or something. "
as much as she hated hovering, mia had to do an awful lot of it just to make sure everyone looked camera-ready. she'd been doing a lot of test runs on anyone who found themselves in her trailer, but today she was simply wandering around, getting a feel for everyone that she'd be seeing on set. it wasn't the best habit in the world, but most of the time she could slip by unnoticed. but the question posed in her direction threw her off, and with a wide gaze, mia turned to shake her head. "i'm not actually in the production, so i'm not much help. i can still run lines with you, but i fear i'm a bit of a dud acting-wise."
despite being in the industry for almost half a decade, sofia still wasn't completely used to being recognized while she went about her day. being approached by teenage girls and asked to pose for selfies was an odd feeling; on one hand, sofia loved spending time with her fans and connecting with them as much as she could. but on the other, sometimes all she wanted was to be able to spend her days off walking around los angeles without worrying about anything. that's exactly why she ducked into the familiar coffee shop as soon as she spotted a group of young girls across the street, the sounds of their squealing drifting all the way to where the actress was. the establishment was already packed, but the staff there didn't seem to care about the constant stream of actors and directors that waltzed into the place. sofia was just another one of the regulars, and for that she was thankful. blue eyes scan the ambient in search of a vacant table, but every single one is occupied. she's about to give up on her feeble attempt to hide when she spots a familiar face, sitting at a table near the back like a godsend. " i am so sorry about this, " sofia announces as she slides into the vacant seat opposite the other, pulling out a book - a cheesy romance book she's been devouring on her downtime - from her purse and using it to cover her face as she slouches in her seat. dramatic, yes, but also effective. " i am not looking my best for an impromptu photo shoot with fourteen years olds, so i just need to hide real quick. i promise that your next coffee—or whatever you're drinking—is on me. "
ever since she paused her youtube career (if you could even call it that to begin with), mia was getting noticed less and less. despite being a very social creature that loved to interact with just about anyone, there was something about the pressure of being noticed that made her skin crawl, and she was always grateful that she could dip into a coffee shop without anyone so much as knowing her name. but she knew that she was lucky compared to the actors and actresses she worked with on set, so when sofia plopped down in the seat across from her, all mia could do was flash her a sympathetic smile. "you don't need to apologize for that; i can only imagine how exhausting it is to have to pause everything to make small talk and pose for pictures. sometimes, you just want to exist normally. i get it." mia lifted her mug to her lips, gently sipping the liquid inside before she let her eyes settle on the other. "and you don't owe me anything. i like having the company."

from the minute she was born, it was clear that mia chavez was something special
the only child to parents on the younger side, she was just the light that they needed in an otherwise grey world
the chavez family wasn’t anywhere close to being well-off; mia’s mother stayed home to cut back on daycare costs, and the family lived off of her father’s paychecks, barely scraping by between each one
and yet their household was happy and full of life, something that mia’s parents attribute to her presence
mia had a habit of knowing when people would need cheering up, and she would do just about anything to make it happen no matter what it took
it wasn’t a surprise to anyone that it was easy for her to make friends, and she was usually surrounded by people at all times, making sure to give them each equal amounts of attention so nobody would feel left out
