Bucky Barnes would 100% be overprotective of Peter Parker because of how much Peter reminds him of Pre-Serum Steve.
Peter obviously doesn’t really need protection but if you try to mess with him while Bucky is around you better watch your back.
Peter starts calling him Uncle Bucky and it makes Bucky feel more human than he has in years.
Bucky loves it because Peter just doesn’t look at Bucky the way everyone, save for one Steve Rogers, looks at him. He doesn’t have the same hesitations about hanging around and sometimes he’ll do things like stick magnets to his metal arm, or put stickers on the back of his human hand and it’s great, because Peter is a kid, he knows that just because someone has done bad things doesn’t mean that they are bad, or that they can’t change.
He also acts this way around Loki, no worries about his safety, no concerns about what everyone else thinks and so Loki also becomes very protective and becomes Uncle Loki.
And that’s the story of how Peter unintentionally got two of the most dangerous people on the planet to be super protective over him. He was just a nice normal kid who knows that the world isn’t black and white.
and Bucky will secretly buy packets of stickers and magnets that he likes, and he’ll send them in the mail to Peter anonymously. So whenever Peter sees him, he’ll go up to Bucky and stick them on him, and when Bucky leaves, he’ll keep the stickers and magnets on until he has to shower because he doesn’t want to ruin them. Bucky keeps a little book where he puts all the stickers that he peels off on, and he keeps all the magnets on his and Steves fridge. Bucky hates taking the magnets and stickers off, so he tries to keep them on for as long as possible, which is only a few days because he had to take them off to shower. If he and Steve are going to visit the rest of the Avengers before Bucky has to take them off to shower, he’ll take them off anyway, that way Peter can stick on new stickers and magnets.
Only Steve knows that Bucky keeps all the magnets and stickers that Peter gives him. And sometimes he’ll see Bucky flipping through the little book where he resticks the stickers he peels off of his real and metal arm. Steve finds it really adorable so he also secretly orders new stickers for Peter, and sends them to him anonymously.
One week Peter came home to a whole bunch of shoebox-sized boxes full of magnets and stickers, and he ran up to Tony asking if he could use his lab for a bit. He ended up making Bucky a sleeve to go over his metal arm, covered in stickers, that way Bucky wouldn’t have to spend hours peeling all the stickers off, and he could just slide the sleeve off.
He gifted the sleeve to Bucky for Christmas and Bucky had to leave the room immediately after because he was crying. Peter got worried because he thought Bucky hated it, so when Bucky came back, he went up to Bucky and told him that it was okay if he threw it out. Bucky told him that he loved it, and Peter thought he was just being nice, but later saw Bucky threaten Sam after Sam made a joke about it. Peter smiled because he was really happy that Bucky liked it.
Peter didn’t realize how much Bucky actually loved it though, because when he and Steve returned home, he asked Shuri for waterproofing supplies that way he could waterproof the sleeve and he wouldn’t have to take it off. Bucky would only take the sleeve off for missions because he was afraid it would scratch or rip.
Bucky wore the sleeve even the next time they went to visit the Avengers but was disappointed when Peter didn’t have a new sleeve for him. Steve noticed how sad he was, so he told Tony that he should talk to Peter about making Bucky a new sleeve, a tougher(resistant to ripping and scratching and water) sleeve.
Peter became super excited at the idea and made Bucky over 10 new sleeves by the next time they came to visit, which was only a month later.
Peter also notices how Loki frowns whenever Peter gives Bucky something, but not him, so Peter decides to make Loki capes because Loki is almost wearing one. Peter knows Loki loves green, so he starts to look for green stickers and things like that.
There aren’t much but Peter remembers that Loki had always felt lesser than Thor, so he decides to write quotes on Loki’s cape, but he writes them small, on the inside of the capes, and around the edges, that way only Loki can see them and will notice them when he puts on the capes.
Peter likes to make really flashy capes for Loki, so he’ll order glow in the dark or glittery material, basically anything that is shiny or bright. Especially eye-catching things, that way Loki will have eyes on him, in adoration or wonder, and will feel special.
Peter starts to notice that Loki is being seen less and less and starts to look sadder and sadder, so when everyone is asleep, Peter sneaks down to Loki’s room and leaves him a package at the foot of his door. Loki hears something and goes to see who is sneaking around outside his door, but the hallway is empty and he sees the package so he brings it into his room.
When Loki opens the package, he starts o cry because he’s seen much nicer fabrics and capes, but no one has ever gifted him one. Loki doesn’t notice the little messages written on the cape until he puts it on in the morning. He immediately recognizes some of the slang written on it as something Peter would say, and he pauses because he didn’t realize how much Peter actually cared about him.
He leaves his room that morning with his smile beaming and all the Avengers notice and compliments him on his new cape. Loki hasn’t that loved in a long time. He knows Peter is at school so he goes out and buys a whole bunch of ice cream for Peter because he’s seen Peter wander around the Avengers compound many times while eating out of containers of ice cream.
Loki spends hours picking out ice creams for Peter and spends even longer figuring out how to pay for them because he’s not used to human money transactions.
When Peter gets home he’s greeted by piles of ice cream containers and Loki arguing with Thor because Thor has eaten 6 containers of chocolate and strawberry flavored ice cream. neither of them realizes Peter has gotten home, and Loki almost jumps when he feels Peter hug him from behind because he didn’t realize Peter was there. Loki doesn’t hesitate to hug Peter back and whisper ‘thank you’ to him, and Peter only smiles.
