There was gorgeous light along the intertidal seaweeds, shining with a vibrance in the early morning as this mama black bear was teaching her yearling cub how to forage crabs, Fortune Channel, Clayoquot Sound, British Columbia

In the presence of such beautiful beings, I’m saddened that so many Grizzly and Black bears will be sensessly killed for trophies this year, but I’m hopeful for their future and the Great Bear Rainforest.  Bute Inlet, Xwémalhkwu First Nation territory.
