A quick WIP so no tags! I was super happy with my chaplain so I decided to abduct another gravis model to make a brother captain / Grand master out of.
Waiting for another box of GK Terminators though so he's going to both be armed and Armless until then but I hope he'll strike an impressive pose when finished!
Oh and please don't pay attention to the dust in the keyboard! The house quite literally is a building site right now. Finding debris in my shoes even!

Woo I did some painting! Had fun with these guys and kept it simple and matched them to art on the cards.
I do enjoy painting, but I think it's quite easy to frustrate yourself by going overboard on everything.
For anyone looking for the paints used.
Zenithal spray: Chaos black & Wraithbone
Bone: Skeleton Horde Contrast
Cloth: Stormfiend Contrast.
Armour: Iron Hands Steel, 2-1-1 mix Aggaros Dunes Contrast, Nuln Oil, water.
Gold trim: Iron Hands steel, Retributor Gold, 2-1-1 mix Aggaros Dunes Contrast, Nuln Oil, water.
Blades: were done the same as the Armour but with Drakenhof nightshade added on top once dry.
Leather: Garaghaks Sewer Contrast.
Wood: Gore-Grunta Fur.

The manager for the local store I do some painting for is an absolutely amazing painter. Far better than me! But it turns out our ideas of quick and ready paint jobs are massively different too. So a quick comparison and then I'll show you what he usually paints! XD

This is how he normally paints and it's damn amazing! Which just internally hurts when I look at the imperial fist. But yknow it's hobby for the shop not for his personal project but still. My good sir is murdering me.

So painting models for myself I do like at best 1-3 a day because I dunno? Reasons. Get asked to do a bit of painting for the local and get told to "Contrast the shit out of it." And I'm like hmm okay he wants sons of Horus... Let's do this... But of that and I look up from my work hours later realising it's closing time.
How the hell did I do a tactical squad and a praetor in one sitting! ( Leaving the bases for him to do as the store has plans for them.)
