I’ve decided that this will be my last post on Instagram. IG has never lived up to my expectations as a photo platform. The square format is too restrictive and doesn’t show my photos at their best. IG users are flakey at best, following and unfollowing constantly trying to artificially inflate their numbers. I’ve never risen above 700 followers as a result, with only a couple dozen people who are really active. Things got even worse after FB took over. I won’t delete my profile, since there are some photos that are only on here, but I invite you to check out Dayflash, a community of creatives that showcases my photos in a way IG never could. I will be removing the IG app from my phone, so I won’t be responding to comments or checking on followers from now on. That means I won’t be seeing your IG posts either, unless we’re FB friends and you crosspost. Thank you to all my followers who have been there to like and comment on my posts.
