"Iranian architecture is shaped by geometry, rhythm, and craftsmanship refined over centuries. Across mosques, bazaars, caravanserais, palaces, and historic homes, every surface becomes part of a larger composition where structure and ornament coexist.
Muqarnas dissolve solid forms into layered spatial transitions, while glazed mosaics, carved brickwork, and painted ceilings transform light into texture and color. Repeating stars, interlacing polygons, and floral motifs extend across domes, iwans, courtyards, and vaults, creating a powerful sense of continuity between mathematics, #art, and #architecture.
From the mirrored interiors of Shiraz and Isfahan to the monumental brick facades of ancient Persian cities, these spaces were designed not only to impress visually but also to shape atmosphere, proportion, and human experience. Even after centuries, the precision and depth of these compositions remain unmatched, forming one of the world’s most enduring architectural languages."
